Isn't it like that slimes are the final fantasy type which tends to stick or at least reform after being physically manipulated, while jelly would stay spread after after the peanut butter layer smothered it?

Slimes have a 'core' that they reform to, though the shape may vary.

They aren't just uncontrolled sticking machines :V
