Is Prince Blueblood based off G1 Knight Shade?

I just noticed that they are alot alike. such as:

-both of them are famous

-Both of them have White furr and seductive eyes

-Both of them had cowardly traits

-Both of them have fanmares all over them

-Both of them were kinda stuck up

So do you think the writers actually based Blueblood off Knight Shades?

Huh. That's an interesting idea. I would think not, as it is a generic personality, but maybe. Seeing as they can't use g1 names and all.

Ive seen that episode of G1.

Hmmm...Maybe, but I dont think so. But it is possible, seeing as a lot of the ponies are based of G1s. (including all the main 6)

Knight Shade was stuck up?  I must have missed that part, the first thing he did (even while he was still a "sort of" villain*) was advice three young ponies on how to sing better than he does, surely that makes him the opposite of stuck up.

 

While I wasn't a huge fan of "Bright Lights" (the sudden change from "Soul Stealing" to "Shadow Stealing" caused the plotline to have no sense) I have watched it enough times to see no simularites between the characters.

 

*He was more of a "just following orders" character than a villain, I think.

I haven't watched much of G1, but I do know of Knight Shades, as I always liked his afro thing going on. xD And I don't think he was stuck up at all, not nearly as bad as Blueblood.

 

Also, since when has Blueblood had fanmares all over him? O_e

Who knows,maybe he is,although Knight Shad's mane is the opposite of blueblood's mane.Maybe he is,maybe he isn't.I think he probaly is based off Knight Shade.
