Either way, thats his look. I wanted him to be more androgynous than really with set male looks as I don't really care for it all that much (which is why he has a mix of both in the picture, though, that was actually due to me accidentally fully vectoring a mare and forgetting he was male. XD).

Also, I never got around to adding his horn, so there's that too.

His tail is still up for design, but it generally is supposed to resemble his mane,

That and his hair was done freely with no base. Add in my nonexistent drawing/artistic skills and it turns into a living nightmare on the back end of an equine.

Preferably in a pretty laid back pose, cool and confident pose, or a pose of the artist's interpretation?

Yes, I drew it all by hand. Found it to be more reliable than to use Inkscape. Can't remember the last time I used Inkscape to draw something. Actually, that was for my Avatar and Sig.
