I hate math and I hate being reminded of what a weak, stupid mind I have. I guess you don't know me well enough, but I can't do math to save my life, and I have major problems visualizing things in my head - imagining shapes and mentally translating them. I'm a stupid, flawed person, and I hate myself for it. The most I can handle is abstract ideas like stories. Once something real and meaningful needs to be done like math or science, I'm useless.

Because that's a different version of Flatland. There were actually two different Flatland movies, a short educational version where both men and women are, for the most part, geometrically equal (or rather, similar), and a longer one with inequality and war:
