My Minispek style is just my new primary art style; I haven't thrown away the old one entirely but I find it easier with Minispek.

Nova was growing more enraged at Gem, not only at her progressively irritating tone, but at her intrusive behaviour. He tried to reason with her, saying, “Please, Gem, why are you--”

Gem began to circle around Nova, all while replying, “I got a bit suspicious about you, so I began to piece what made you who you really are.” Nova started to tremble. Gem continued on, “I also know about Flora.”

“No…” Nova was shocked.

<Nova screams to Gem about how Flora was his sister who died a year ago and that remembering the circumstances leading up to her death was too painful to recall>

“Then stop trying to hide the truth and tell me who Flora is.”

Nova reached his breaking point. “SHE’S DEAD!!!”

Silence.

Nothing.

Never before did Gem ever see Nova get mad about anything. The reality of what Gem was doing to Nova finally sank in as she felt her pride begin to shatter within her. It felt like she was floating and could lose her balance at any moment. Gem just stood there as Nova stared back at her.

“You wanted the truth about Flora, you have it now.” Nova stared half at the ground and half back at Gem. Nova took a deep breath, despite his throat feeling like it was on fire from his previous yell. “There was a REASON why I had to keep it secret, because of how it happened was too painful to remember. It was gonna be our thirteenth birthday when she and Mom fell ill.”

Nova started tearing up as he continued, “All I remember was Mom being in so bad a condition that she had to be taken away and Flora getting more and more sick. The worst part of it all is that I had to suffer from this torture all by myself, with nopony else to hold on to. It was only a day after Flora died that Auntie finally came over.”

Silence once again. Gem asked, “S-- so, was Flora your--”

“My sister. My twin sister and closest friend.” Nova wiped the tears that were dripping across his face. There was no point in hiding it; Nova was still heartbroken, even after a year.

Gem asked, “Well, I thought Flora was somepony else you knew behind my back.”

Nova continued on, half-crying, “We had different talents but always found some way to mix our talents into one thing. She was a gardener, I was the stargazer, and she put a lot of her time into the garden that we had in the yard. Her last words before she fell ill were ‘I hope we can actually have enough to live off of the garden this year’.”
