I think the lines on the outside should be a bit thicker if anything, also, the mouths look a bit odd.

They look a bit angular and exaggerated,so make them smaller and give them more of a subtle curve.

Some of them were meant to be exaggerated... How can I keep them exaggerated without looking poorly drawn?

Just go for the subtle curve then, and maybe make them a bit more gray than black.

It needs to be black though, because that's what you'd see when I opened my mouth... an endless black void.

Yeah. The mouth is supposed to look like I'm some horrible creature opening a disjointed, skull like mouth. Did I do a good job?
