The next step is (apart from some debugging and optimization that I arguably shouldn't be worrying about just yet) add wheels and drive the car itself. Then have it so that the car body is swappable (EG, I can swap the car body for something else upon instantiation), then have the car colour also be swappable; that way, every possible car variant I want to worry about can be handled by a single gameobject instead of having car_colours_i_want_to_worry_about * car_variants_i_want_to_worry_about different car types.

Then after that, give the car a basic AI. Then see if I can get a neural network to drive the car as a stretch goal. Then after that, unleash the kraken and see what happens if I just let 1000 cars drive freely.

I'm pretty terrible at picking favorite things.

The one I tend to default to (though I'm not sure I really agree with it anymore) is RoboCop (The old one from 1987, obviously).
