That would be an 88mm Armour-Piercing shell. Famous for its use with the Flak 88 AA gun, Tiger, Jagdpanther, and a few other German tanks that were able to fit such a large calibre weapon.

 

This is entirely authentic and even has the markings and acronyms that signify the date it was made and the specifics.

 

I did buy another item but it is rather politically sensitive and I do not think it would be wise to share a picture openly. If you are still interested, however, do send me a PM or e-mail. I would not want to be held responsible for offending others.
