I just wish you guys would follow me onto the other sites I go to; I operate a lot better there...

 

But the reason I keep coming back here is because it gets lonely and boring there...

 

I never RP'd here before... And all the times I tried to advertise my RP ended up in failure. Well, there's something similar to RPs back in Simtropolis: City Journals. I never made a CJ either, but I actually have no need to make one. What keeps me bound to Simtropolis and its sister site of SC4Devotion is this: I'm one of the developers/testers of the single-most popular mod available to all of Simcity 4, and just being involved in that always entices me to stay, no matter what.

 

It's that I'm already in a fairly high position in both ST and SC4D because of my involvement and influence, but it becomes backwards here, where there's no common ground.

 

I'm not a robot... I have feelings...

 

What I talk about there is concrete information: Information that's pretty much firmly planted and is accepted by everyone else. What I talk about here is abstract information: There's no actual analogue that can exist because it gets interpreted differently by everyone.

 

Ah-ha! There on the other site(s) you have one giant common interest! And that would be your love of Simcity4 and its mods! Not to mention your already greatly known around the place for that super mod you're working (or worked) on. But over here you don't have that same common interest (other than ponies) nor the recognition/fame level. Which in turn doesn't bring about the normal responses that you would normally expect from over there.

 

Not to mention what you normally talk about is something foreign among people of a normal intelligence. :P

 

Even if all that info was pretty much just given to me, please let me have my moment of awesomeness and feel like I did something amazing. :|

 

I have never played SC4 and so would not have any interest or anything to do in a place like that. Modding, on the other hand, wouuld (and somewhat has) caught my attention, though. I first need to learn basic programming before I can attempt anything like that, though.

Somehow, it's hardwired into my emotions, so that if I imagine something and put it in some tangible form (like drawing) and people like it, I get this feel-good feeling in me. But if nothing happens, it makes me feel horrible, especially if a million years pass and nothing happens...

 

I understand this and also I know what imagination is. I draw too just for myself, but your puting up an expectation that people we look at it which is why your geting hurt everytime. I'd tell you advice, but im sher you have heard this story already Ganaram.

Everyone gets a feel good feeling when something of their succeeds. And every one feels bad when something doesn't. It just differs for everyone. I make music to an extent, but very few people tell me anything about whether its good or not. But I continue to do so cause I find it fun whether its gets a lot of good comments, completely fails, gets hated on, etc.

 

 

This. Can't always expect some kind of good result from everything.

Ganaram Inushuk, I know you probably can't imagine a lot of stuff with your RPing, as in, you thin your imagination blocks you. Well, use what you like and your way of thinking to try and do so. Try doing a science/Astronomy related RP so that you can use a character, that has more of your feelings and allows you to "unlock" your mind. The more you can relate to your character, the easier it is to imagine with it. And I never ever RP'ed to know this

 

This is a celebration day! We got new mods! Let's make a friggin cider toast for that! *holds cider cup* And I don't even LIKE cider, but I'm willing to do it for this!

Another DDR player!? YAHOO! Someone else who likes it! Although I'm more of a Pump It Up guy. It's also because it's MUCH, MUCH more common in Argentina than DDR. Hell, I've barely even seen DDR machines here. Yo ds8! What's the hardest song you can pass? (I'm talking about the one that has Paranoia Rebirth, Aeronova and such, the 3rd remix, I think.
