You know, I had this crazy idea that chat forums actually became something similar to REAL chat forums. And that in future, there would be chat rooms that you could transport yourself to. IN here for example, just by agreeing and being let in some chat room, you can press a button and automatically be transported there, and start chatting with the rest of people from all over the world...

 

You should invent that when teleportation becomes a reality, and then you'll make mega bucks.

Or you could just save up and go to a ponycon one year. :3

there are a number of Swedish people on the forums, yes, but Vicke is the only one that happens to live in the same area as i do. everyone else lives quite a bit longer away from me, like Jonke, who lives in the south-east corner of Sweden, whereas Vicke in comparison is merely a hour away with transport.

speaking of SOAD, i found their first and second album, System of a Down and Toxicity, in the store yesterday. i bought only Toxicity at the point, will probably buy the first album sometime soon.

 

they also had Serj Tankian's newest album in the store, but it was way too expensive.

I'm not sure what album I have the most of cause I went by song when I downloaded most of their stuff. Really should buy them eventually. Toxicity isn't too bad. got Chop Suey on it and some other pretty good one i like. Actually, I quite like all of them. Damn. I really need to pay attention to albums more often.

System of a Down has a few really good ones as well, mainly Sugar and Prison Song.

 

I actually haven't and don't listen to Serj by himself all that much. I need to check more of his shiz out soon.

 

 

I really need to see if they've made anything new since I last checked Itunes. I know they went on hiatus but I do believe they came back quite some time ago. I have so much catching up to do with all of my music. Fuck.

Serj Tankian's solo stuff is pretty good. if you liked SOAD, there's a high chance you'll like Serj's solo albums, too. he's gotten 3 full-length albums out: Elect The Dead, Imperfect Harmonies, and the new album Harakiri.

Elect The Dead is very reminiscent to the SOAD stuff, namely the later albums, but it has a distinct flare of its own that distinguishes it from SOAD. for one thing there is a lot of piano slings in the songs.i dunno if SOAD had lots of that, but it sounds different to me.

 

Imperfect Harmonies is a change of direction, and is an epic sounding symphonic metal album with electronic influences. very different sounding from SOAD, but good in its own right. reason for the sound is that Tankian had a live album where he was working with some orchestra which i can't remember the name of, and then he produced the next album with said orchestra.

 

Harakiri is sort of a back to the roots album. it's more like SOAD once again, and a lot heavier than Elect The Dead. worth to mention is that part of the album was produced on Serj Tankian's iPad.

I've listened to a three from Elect the Dead. Empty Walls, The Unthinking Majority, and Feed Us.

Totally gonna check all three of those out this weekend.
