Like Ganny said, its a reference to Quagmire from Family Guy. He's a sex crazed guy who does everything. Anytime something sexual is said or a sexual joke is made, he usually goes "Giggity!" to show his approval.

I'd love to take any kind of programming class, so long as the teacher actually teaches me and doesn't just give the class the answers and allows us to copy him...

I took online programming classes, there's a real disconnect when you're taught like that. A lot more work goes into it from your end, and a lot less work from the other.

He wanted to know how long until the train's back in order. Plus, he was too hungry to concentrate, but as he left the station (he didn't get back on the train), he was distracted by the smell of potatoes.

 

Plus, it gave me an excuse to make an extremely subtle reference to one of my other characters, whom I have severed all connections with because I initially deemed her unsuitable for existence (and was one of the main characters in the story I keep babbing about): Gem.

Did I ever tell you this? The last time someone ever called me "Ganny/Gannie" was from deviantART, by a user whose name was affiliated with tea and eyes.

 

The strangest name by far was Mangara, and if you're lucky, you'll find the same exact user who gave me that name right here on this site.

I liked it at first because the teacher didn't lecture. She'd let us do our own work, which is in fact better than the method you described of just copying everything down. The only thing she does really is tell us when things are due.

 

I interpreted "not having to listen to a lecture" as "I get to fuck around in class," though. Now I realize that I need some sort of structure. I keep end up having to catch up on things and do stuff at the last minute because we don't have a set schedule in the classroom.

 

I'm convinced I have ADD.

I always, ALWAYS forget to close a tag somewhere. And I know that when you're creating a new tag you're supposed to do the opening and the closing one at the same time so you don't forget, but I never remember to do that. I end up fishing around in the code for ages looking for what I did wrong and all it was was that.

You're preaching to the choir, I failed that class the first time I took it. Mostly due to the fact that it was my first hands on experience with coding. But also in part to the ineptitude of the teacher to teach online.
