The ambient music was soft, Rarity had wondered just what this new recipie Pinkie had in mind for this cake.

Pinkie had brought in the mixing bowls, one already full of what appeared to be chocolate.

"Pinkie, a chocolate cake? that's rather plain don't you think?" she asked, leaning in to have a sniff.

Pinkie smiled, almost deviously.

"Oh Rarity, silly filly...that's not chocolate..."

 

 

"it's ultra super-duper chocolate! It's got strawberries, and some of that coffee stuff I found, mint leaves-its a mix of the most delicious kind!!" she smiled, hopping around the room.

Rarity smiled, shaking her head slightly.

"You brought the cherries right, you can't make this cake without them!!" Pinkie grabbed Rarity, staring into her eyes, almost face to face.

"o-of course" Rarity stammered, Pinkie let go and smiled again.

"Okie Dokie Lokie, lets get started!!"

 

And that's the story of the cake that almost wasn't but then was...
