The government made opium use punishable by death, but the opium-addicted Chinese were still an open market, so British traders forcibly traded regardless. It's the same deal with Osterrland. The governments of Midland and Valindaeum have no choice in the matter. There is a large section of the Osterran Fleet that is exclusively tasked with the protection of trade. Osterrland also devalues the native currencies of other nations, forcing them to invest in Osterran banks using Osterran money. The State also sets very specific rules for trade between other countries. Valindaean businesses must pay taxes to Osterrland for their trades with Midland and vice versa.

One of my friends from the forum I was banned from just started talking to me. It's making me nervous. All this anxiety over a forum. Imagine what will happen when something actually bad happens to me. This is why I don't have much time left on this world.

I know the meaning of betrayal, for I already have my own fair share of suffering by other's spite and anger, even after I gave much of my blood to them. But that never stop me from trying to be kind to anyone.

If I met you in real life, you'd have to try pretty damn hard to make me hate you. You'd have to kick me in the balls while wearing a Nazi uniform and expressing your love of craneflies, onions, and Snakes on a Plane. You can judge yourself in whatever negative light you want, but my mind has already been made up. You're a good person.
