Both, actually.  Although, I guess I shouldn't really say 'fabricated'.  It was more around blatant misinterpretations and hypocrisy.

Fundamental problem: I almost never watch TV, save for ponies or documentaries on a when-I-can basis (despite having a DVR!!!). So stuff on the news or on TV or documentaries that would catch my fancy, they go right past me.
