Also, hasn't Ash stopped a numerous amount of legendaries with and without the help of other legendaries before? I'm pretty sure if a stupid kid like him can somehow manage to work his way around them, then any joe schmoe can.

Let's put it like this: running away from home and trying to find a place and purpose for yourself and failing, and the stress is so much that it removes the colour from your mane. Oh and Ganaram got his cutie mark at a late age.

 

Gem, on the other hand, left home at a very earlier age and was self-sufficient, but preferred isolation whereas Ganaram sought belonging. Neither pony was very good at socialising; one was too introverted, the other was adamant about leaving out any socialising.

Ash is a clown who's never faced a truly competent villain before. I'd crush him like an insect.   And no joe schmoe could face down all of my legendary pokemon all at the same time. Why should I play fair?

Well, unless I have Arceus, I don't think I have a chance against three legendaries... The only advantage I have is I've got a full team of 6 so my team outnumbers yours. Take them down, Salamence, Luxray, Sceptile, Zoroark, Ninetales and Milotic!

Fun fact: I had the idea of a character by the name of Tenna (originally a pun of "antenna") for a very long time but it was only now that I managed to draw the character in question.
