I've mounted all kinds of things

Do you mount deer heads on your wall?

Or do you mount horses during horseback riding?

Those are hunters, not lumberjacks.

k whatever

just seems like something a lumberjack would have in his mountain lodge.

Wtf happened to the gaming industry? :(

At least it's only with some games.

Bethesda has been doing an alright job with DLC.

But military shootie shoot games are the worst offenders.

In other news, I have first degree radiation burns from overexposure to a powerful nuclear reactor.

If, in a few years, I burn my bachelor's degree (it'd be my third degree), does that count as a third degree burn? Or would that be feeling the Bern that Mr. Sanders keeps talking about?

I never pay attention to games, like, at all. Maybe a dozen games but none of them are big-name games (except Minecraft) or they're indie games (like with Minecraft at first).

Plus, you're forgetting one thing that people will do when they're dissatisfied with a game and its DLCs and exclusives...

I think if you burn it on accident it would be.

Well, I tend to prefer a mix of both. And Minecraft is still an indie game.

I'm playing Skyrim right now with 120 mods installed.

The most mods I've ever had installed in Minecraft that I can remember was 170. The highest ever for any game was literally uncountable; plus one of the mods was a collective of multiple plugins that by itself can be considered an expansion pack (it's over 1GB in size). Plus I also modded the mods so it's impossible to even count.

I think the only games I've ever played were everything but big name games. Gemcraft, Creeper World, and Prison Architect are the ones that come to mind.

And I used the 3th degree burn joke with my brother once.

You have bested me, well done.

Here's a bold argument: if a person has thousands of hours of themselves recorded and backed up somewhere and that person dies, if there's enough footage and information, that person is still alive.

Explanation:

Now imagine the same argument but instead of actual footage, it's a set of stories and information about a fictitious person that's perpetuated by a group of people, and it spreads like wildfire. Can you make alive a person who never even existed?

But recordings aren't actual life, just evidence of life.

Or am I misinterpreting?

At best, Youtubing yourself (or some sort of social media presence) is the closest thing to the Singularity, but it'd be the same as making a backup of your mind in that it doesn't save "you" but more like really tiny snippets of you; it's more an issue of what is "you", and people haven't found a definitive answer on that. Are you your body or are records and extrapolations of recordings of your prior existence you?

I think "you" would be the consciousness your brain would conceive. Records I wouldn't consider "you".

Any of you guys ever mounted or tried to mount a TV or a monitor to a wall before?

(Quotes older post) When I was still living in Colorado we had the TV that I mainly use now mounted on the wall. It's not on the wall right now when we are at our rent house but we might hang it on the wall again when we move to the new house.

But anyway, -pokes head in- How are you guys doing today? I just woke up and such, I have no idea what I will end up doing today though.. Heh. Who be lurking in here this morning?

I'm a COLT/STALLION, not a filly/mare. Just because I have a round muzzle does not mean I'm female. Remember that. =3

Signature made by me, vectors in signature and avatar also made by me.

Or you could mod the font away.

I don't because I don't mind it personally and it sort of works in its own strange way, which I talked about in the post you responded to

Or just don't play Skyrim anymore and let it die off finally. :^)

I see the :^) but it's the last elder scrolls game released and the modding community is still bustling (it's probably the biggest modding community for any game out there right next to minecraft's)

meaning, it's nowhere near to dying off nor should it be. at least until the next ES game rolls around, anyway

even then, the skyrim community is probably going to stick around much like the oblivion and morrowind ones did
