That is a thing I've been doing yes.

I don't do the minecraft.

Well, I have... but I got bored quickly. Actually I liked the knock-off "castle miner" game better

Basically exactly what I've been doing.

Well, I found an abandoned hut which I made a home out of, then I tacked on a bigger house onto it. Chances are, I'll tack on an even bigger house onto that, and then an even bigger house onto that.

I keep hearing predictions, but what will happen that will affect us?

that's the scary part cuz we dont know yet. but you might have to start paying for things that have traditionally been free, or else be segregated to "slow lanes" and have slower internet

I'll just pay attention when it actually starts affecting me, no point in worrying about it now.

Apparently, there's another reason for ISPs to start throttling users' Internet connections: because everyone's logged in at once and their infrastructure can't handle the traffic; that's not throttling, that's a traffic jam. Long story short: the net neutrality debate is far more complex than you can ever imagine and you can't just blindly pick a side. This is also why I side with AMD's decision to bring out modularised multi-core CPUs and Tesla's decision to bring out an electric semi and supercar; a bajillion things connected together and if you're used to having an inadequacy, you can't properly think how something that's technologically superior can be any better.

Like, if you're lethargic and people say you're slow, you just accept how you are without a second thought. Then it's discovered you have a condition in which, say, you don't get the necessary energy out of food and you take a medicine or treatment that resolves it and you go, "Whoa, is this what it feels to not be tired?!" (I'm basing this off of an anecdote from Reedit; I also remembered that that anecdote was based off of a cardiorespiratory problem, not a metabolism problem.)

I wanna be this person except with an electric car and the "Whoa, is this what it feels to not be tired?!" to be the acceleration of an electric car's electric motor. I hope I don't crash.

Well, you gotta stay consistent with the growth.

All I've been hearing is that it's bad though, it's been really difficult to find a source that actually tells why they're doing it.

why is simple. Anything corporations can do to make life better for themselves, and to extract more money from people, they'll fight tooth and nail for. Politics are always really tied up with economics too

Don't expect this change to be immediate, though; at this stage, it's still undoable (probably because everyone's gonna start suing the FCC). Unless you're Elon Musk, then your changes are so drastic that it's impossible to undo; speaking of lawsuits, there are a handful of states where Tesla Inc is banned from selling cars, and now due to those cases going to court, Tesla can now sell cars in Michigan, for example.

Alright, enough of that and I didn't even eat breakfast yet. I got screenshots of my house and apparently Google's userbase doesn't think Tesla is important; Tesla's not on the top five car brand searches in the US for all of 2017, though it's number 8 on the list. If Tesla overtakes Toyota, that's when things get serious.

Like, look at these stats: https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=2017-01-01 2017-12-31&q=Tesla&geo=US The spikes coincide with the Model 3 launch and Tesla Semi event, and of course California and Nevada would be searching about it a lot; that's where Tesla's factory and its Gigafactory are.

Also, see? My house is an abandoned hut with a house tacked onto the front of it. Also, is it wrong that I installed a whole bunch of sound/graphics mods?

Sounds like the coal industry. Well, solar's growing so fast that soon it'll become uneconomical to dig in the ground for flammable rocks and burning them for electricity; throwing a solar panel onto a roof will become far cheaper than digging for rocks.

I think that's enough of that; any more and it'll become depressing.

Should I share a vid of my Minecraft modpack?
