Movies, that's what.

I've been hanging out with my family a lot for the holidays so I've not been posting here much.

I've never heard of elemental 3, what is it?

Ever heard of Doodle God? Well, it's a Doodle God clone, but the elements are decided by the players. Examples:

  • Storm + Flame = Water Bottle
  • Clay Vessel + Clay Vessel = 2 Clay Vessels
  • 2^n Clay Vessels + 2^n Clay Vessels = 2^(n+1) Clay Vessels
  • Type 2 Diabetes + Type 2 Diabetes = Type 3 Diabetes
  • 9 + 10 = 21

Sounds kinda like Little Alchemy.

Uhh, have you ever explored procedurally generated terrain? Because I accidentally generated the Far Lands...

Well, I've played many games with procedurally generated terrain, but how did you generate the Far Lands?

Overflow, of course. Also, if I fool around with the values represented using the sliders and maybe even the value called Noise Scale, I'll get varying degrees of wildness. Also also, I'm pretty sure this screenshot is representative of what the Far Lands's shape looks like.

The only hint I'm getting that it is overflow is also in the console; I wrote some extra code that would display some values associated with terrain generation, and I'm getting huge numerical jumps that would be associated with overflow. (Actually, I only know what integer overflow looks like; I don't know what floating point overflow's supposed to look like, but I think that's what it looks like.)

Fixing my car today and fitted a rather expensive brake balance adjuster for rear axle but turns out I never even needed to because it's my master cylinder seals that are f****d so now all have to replace those :(

Still at least I know a mate who can do a dodgy mot for me for £80 so I can fix the car properly in spring time. :D

If you buy a french car make sure everything works first before buying it.
