I think that if Princess Celestia and Cadence had the other's design, then it would make more sense because Cadence is more sunset colored (the Sun princess) and Celestia has sparkly hair (Crystal princess). Anyone have any positive or negative thoughts on this?

While I do get where you are coming from, I'd have to see a pretty good Celestia redesign to agree that it'd work better than how she already looks

She's not exactly sun colored though. When have you ever seen green in the sun? Pink, white, and maybe purple and blue, but not green.

 Ok maybe it could/should have been a Luna thing but I remain unconvinced purely aesthetically, The Celestia we have is just such an awesome design for me, that redesign comes off as too harsh, it lacks the soft radiance I really appreciate, you also get hints of pink and green in rainbows in all fairness 

This is nicer in its softness and you could do away with the green/blue but I genuinely don't think an all red/orange/pink mane is the best so we are going to have to agree to disagree.

I think you might be on to something with the aurora part, because consider this.

I always thought it was supposed to be an aurora. An aurora doesn't have pink or purple but the way it blows always reminded me of one.

Celestia is the bestia. 

I really like to imagine what it would be like to sit down and have tea with her. It would be chamomile and I would take mine with a splash of cream and sweeten it with a spoon of powdered blueberry and we would talk about all sorts of things, books, philosophy, life.

That reminds me! There was a fan fiction over on fimfiction. It was an alternate universe where Celestia followed Sunset Shimmer into the human world because she wanted to bring her back but then she got stuck there. She ended up telling her human counterpart everything and moving in with them, I think they even told people she was their niece.

It's been forever since I read it though  I can't remember the title. I'm gonna have to do some hunting on fimfiction to see if I can find it. I kinda want to read through it again.

I found that fan fic I mentioned in the other post. I totally forgot that it was a mithril moth story. It's not finished and he passed away. 

It turns out that a fan wrote a continuation but I don't know how good it is,
