Eeyup. Tiny little colorful Equines can solve many of your day-to-day problems in life.

Perhaps Kin Jong-Un could sit down, yank that mighty dildo out of his ass and watch some manly-as-fuck ponies to ease his angst, thus rendering him a nice man, good leader and making him stop this pointless feud he seems to have with the world?

That's be sweet.

He already has, and apparently doesn't like the season finale:

Anyways, I totally agree about ponies being a source of stress relief. Every time I watch a new episode, or rewatch some of my favorite episodes, I would catch myself having a huge grin/smile thing on my face. Every single time. It's 20+ minutes of pure happiness, nothing else in the world matters then. Ponies ponies ponies.

BTW Thunderchild you only mentioned the pink one. Is that your favorite one? Because she's best ponelaugh.png

I use Pinkie Pie for creative visualization.  When I need a smile, I think of her or imagine her doing something to cheer me up.  Some people use a self-talk technique to encourage themselves or to combat negative thoughts.  Instead of self-talk, I imagine Pinkie Pie encouraging me, giving me positive affirmations, and denouncing my negative thoughts.

Pinky jus happened to be the one that made me smile on this particular day. I must say she took a bit of geting used to initially, but I dig her now.

However, if I had to choose it would be Fluttershy, no question. She had me from the beginning. Just so damn cute.

Yes, this show always cheers me up when I'm stressed or worried about something!

One or two episodes is all it takes and I feel like nothing ever happened! :) Amazing, isn't it? I guess it's the sows charm, fun, and innocence that has it drive us to be more happy/optimistic. The same happens with Pokemon as well! So MLP really does cure stress for most people...and I'm glad it does! The show is like an anti-depressant!! :D Don't know what I'd do without it!

Ponies without a doubt is a great stress reliever but it is not my only stress reliever, talking to Inazuma, playing video games, and watching wrestling are a few of my other stress relievers. As far as stress relievers go though I won't deny that for me personally ponies is one of the most effective, it is brought my depression down a bit is helping to keep my grip on sanity.

I can see why. Had the worst day of your life? Watch ponies!

Hey, this might be a good reason why we love MLP. I know for a fact that some users here are suffering from depression and that they use MLP as a way to feel happy.

Pretty ponies are subsitutes for anti-depressants, it seems.

A bit graphic but I get your point.

AHA! Scientific proof as to why cute things (like ponies) are able to reduce stress. VSauce...such a wonderful thing, even if it does sound disgusting:

Totally agree. I'm suffering a depression, and have some issues with selfharm when I get anxious... And, with the hoof to my heart, My Little Pony are helping me more than my medicine.

For me, it's a stress reliever.

It brings joy to me and makes me feel happy.

Especially when i wake up in the morning, it puts me in a good mood.

But sometimes it makes me unhappy knowing i live in a corrupted world compared to Equestria.

But you gotta keep your head up knowing you will never be able to go there.

Unless an inter-dimensional portal rift opens up in my room and takes me.

Or if i wake up there one morning. *which would make me the happiest human alive*.

So yes, ponies are a major stress relief for me.

I would have to say a bit of pony therapy helps with both stress and depression! :) and I think actually serve quite a beneficial psychological function. You only have to turn on the news to how gloomy things are lately. Frankly, ponies offer an escape from stress that is healthier than drugs or alcohol, such wonderful ponies and a positive message and that inspires both great creativity and friendship between the community of fans.

For me, ponies are a little ray of sunshine on an otherwise cloudy day. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia three months ago and have had such an terrible time lately - being in constant pain. I was not able to function at work, or even socialise with friends. This took me to some dark places where I started to re evaluate my entire existence. As the stress got to me and the depression worsened I was unable to cope and had a total breakdown.

These candy colour ponies really helped (and are helping!) to get me through these difficult times. The show always makes me happier and I find I can reach greater levels of creativity when I write music.

So, a particularly crappy day at work behind me-I just finished a 5 episode streak, and feel much better.

It's amazing how much positivity there is in this simple little show-and how much it takes you out of the rat race for a little while, and lifts your spirits.

Well, there it is. After all is said and done, all the human race really needed was a little pink pony.

i was just about to do a status about this. i think MLP has been so loved is because its nice to watch something happy after being in our world. i think i have found my reason i love the show

I completely agree with you. Ponies are best stress relievers XD I don't know how miserable my life would have be if I haven't been introduced to the show and its community. MLP can also be a good drug as as well. I need my daily dose of PONIEZ

Pfff . . . real bronies watch ponies at work so they can de-stress immediately.

Seriously, though, I like working at my job where I can watch ponies/Netflix or listen to music while I'm doing stuff. It helps keep me sane.

Well, I guess I could say I use ponies as stress relief. Mainly while drawing, as for ages now my doodles are mainly filled with ponies.
The show also helped me in a time of horrid depression, so I guess that could count, too.

I know the feeling. From time to time i struggle with anxiety and depression issues and i feel like the world is coming to an end. Before i got into MLP these rough patches were some of the worst times of my life and i can remember feeling almost dead inside. But now whenever i feel like the world has stopped turning i watch an episode or two of MLP and i feel much better.

You know wat they say - Desperate times call for 10 episode watches, 25 fanfic readings, 50 Brony song listens, and 75 artwork gallery viewings.

Couldn't agree more-although you seem to have a lot more stamina than me.

I tend to fall asleep if i stay still for too long, so I may need to break this up a bit.
