Hey remember when you said you liked Spirit Crusher? x) Well then again, Death's last album was more borderline death metal/progressive metal than straight out death metal. Even Chuck's vocals were not very "death metalish".

I thought I was the one who said I like Spirit Crusher...unless Moog also said that...in which case...never mind...don't mind me...

Oh btw, since I like Spirit Crusher, would I like Symbolic? I heard part of the song and I liked it I think.

Yes it was Moog, he also found a Sodom song that he liked x)

No, seeing as how you always complain about the vocals in death metal.

Well I'm listening to the song Symbolic right now, and I like it so far. The vocals sound similar to Spirit Crusher, I don't know why you would say I wouldn't like it.

I thought that I said that I didn't mind that song, and probably since it's barely Death Metal-ish that's why I didn't mind it.

I don't remember the Sodom song at all.

Here try this, maybe you'll like it. The vocals aren't very harsh. It's really more thrash/death though.

I'm pretty sure it was this one.

It's okay, but I definitely like Symbolic. I'm putting that song on my iPod right now. I think it's the best Death song I've heard besides Spirit Crusher. I also like Scavenger of Human Sorrow.

I personally don't think Nickelback is half bad. A lot of people say they're really bad, but I've always liked them. I guess I'm just weird or somethin'.

You should listen to Choke on it, Pull the Plug, Mutilation, and Scream Bloody Gore.

They're kinda like AC/DC but even worse.

I don't even remember if I've said this one before but I hate live music. I hate how it varies from the studio version which I get used to hearing the same every single time I listen.

I especially hate when people totally disregard certain genres of music simply because they are programmed in a computer rather than played on a "real instrument"

That's ridiculous...hearing live music is incredible, especially when the band is highly talented and plays flawlessly. And there is usually even more energy in live performances than in studio versions. I guess it all depends on the band though because some bands don't play very well live.

I personally like live music for the sake of seeing a band perform live in front of me

The people who say stuff like that are a part of a very small minority, it's just that the Deadmau5 and Skrillex fanbase don't like to ignore those comments

I fucking hate Possessed YES I JUST SAID THAT

It doesn't really matter if the band is good or bad live, I hate the way it differs from what I'm used to hearing. It messes with my brain, and not in a good way.

I understand why people dislike it, it's very different from what you're used to hearing. But you're missing the point of live shows: It's about seeing your favorite band playing in front of you, experiencing the energy live, having fun, getting in moshpits (if it's aggressive) and experiencing music in a completely different way

Honestly, I find it hard to appreciate music that is just programmed on a computer. It's missing the talent and skill that comes with music being played on actual instruments, you know what I mean?

Say that again after you've learned how to use this:

There are instruments used, it's called "virtual instruments" just because it's done on a computer doesn't make it different.

So like the topic says: Unpopular. :P

I know most people don't agree with me and my reasons are sometimes rather arbitrary at best but it is how it is.

I don't like the variation that live music brings and I hate hearing crowds in the music unless it's specifically built into the song in which case it fits.

And I don't like being around people. They just get in the way. If I was at a live concert I'd be there for the music, not other people. In that sense it's no different from just listening to it by myself on my MP3 Player or the computer.

Hey, we never said your opinion is shit. We're simply trying to spin this in a different light for you, because you're really missing out on quite the experience

Holy lordy I haven't seen a soundboard like that before. Must take a great deal of skill and knowledge to understand what everything on their does not to mention be able to hear the difference in tones between everything (something I can't do for the life of me. I can't hear minor changes in pitch very well)

That's not a soundboard bro, it's called a softsynth a.k.a. a software synthesizer, it makes sound just like a Hardware synth does

I know. I have a bit of a defense mechanism that flares up for little reason that makes me a little too defensive.

I have been to a couple of live shows, mostly ones I'd been forced into going to, and I couldn't stand the atmosphere. I couldn't hear the music very well over the crowd whether it was a large open amphitheater or a small room in a bar.

I actually had a not-so-great concert experience the other day. The concert was outside in a park, so everyone was like crowding together as close as physically possible to get as close as possible to the stage, and I ended up being like smushed into people the whole time and getting shoved by people trying to get through, plus I couldn't even see anything because the tallest people ever decided to stand right in front of me for some reason. Anyway, if it's like that, then I would understand not wanting to be around people, but normally at concerts (at least in my experience) you have seats and you can actually see the stage and people aren't crowded together lol.

Terminology. It escapes me. :P

I've never really paid attention to much of the terminology in music so even if I know what I'm looking at or hearing I don't know what it's called.

Adding to what Moog said: Music where computers play a big role in the production and composition opens a lot of possibilities to experiment for the producer

Prime example: Since I Left You by The Avalanches. This album was made purely out of samples. The group used a total of 3500 samples to create this masterpiece. It takes a lot of creativity, originality and talent to create something so masterfully composed, well-thought, fresh and well sounding

I meant in general. I don't like being around people because they get in the way of just about everything. Always interrupting me when I'm in the middle of something, always blocking my way when I'm trying to get somewhere... I'm not a very tolerant person when it comes to interacting with other people.
