Art Thief 215 October 11, 2014 #77 Share October 11, 2014 (edited) So much Luna wank in this forum. And i read someone say Discord was an omnipotent reality warper?! to lazy to find the post, but lol! From what we've seen Celestia, and Luna are equal, and the only reason Discord is so dangerous, is because of his reality warping magic. And someone also said Luna moves the Moon and stars? When was that ever stated or shown? Edited October 11, 2014 by Art Thief

Zoraxe 546 March 26, 2015 #90 Share March 26, 2015 Let me put it like this... Alicorn Princess Twilight Sparkle, when her crown was being stollen by Sunset Shimmer, she tried to Teleport in front of Shimmer but when that failed, she tried to tackle her. "Welp, magic didn't work, I'll just jump into her"- The element of magic. It seems magic is very useful in certain situations but is far from the cure-all people say it is. And its silly how people think that Celestia is so powerful that she is a goddess, like I heard that she lost on purpose to Chrysalis because she would accidentally destroy evrything if she used her full power... Please, just catch Celestia by surprise and she goes down like anypony ells!

ArcheoPony 76 March 26, 2015 #93 Share March 26, 2015 People tend to confuse forever young/super long lived with (indestructable) immortal. They can die. They just don't have the life expectancy most creatures do. And are really powerful by normal creature standards. But there's ways they can be outdone depending on the situation. Shadow Beam 1,179 March 26, 2015 #94 Share March 26, 2015 (edited) I believe that Luna and Celestia are both inmortal beings, not because of being alicorns, but because they are bound to their respective astros, hence they are extremely powerful, yet not invincible. On the other hand, Discord is able to literally control the world like a mere sandbox. He's bound to chaos, and disarray is always at hand, expecting to creep out at the slightest chance, therefore making him everlasting as well. Full command over physics? Checked. Infinite energy? Checked. Eternal life? Checked. You see, Discord could make the world hollow and then play basketball with it. As shown in the canon, they only've been able to stop him with the unfathomable power of the elements turning him to stone (And yet he was still conscious during that time.) and/or by stealing his magic (Tirek). Regarding the lifespans of Twilight and Cadence, I would say that they won't live much longer than a normal pony. Love and friendship, although powerful, are fragile. They're not a celestial body bound to exist for countless ages, or a perception of disarray that always did and always will exist. They represent emotions that may cease to be or may originate during a single lifespan. Be happy for Twi and Candy, they'll get to see their deceased friends and family instead of living an eternal life in sorrow. They're simply no material for such a burden.
