I don't understand all the love for these adult cartoons like Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad, and especially South Park. I rarely find any of them funny, and they're overly reliant on being offensive to people.

Almost every TV show on is shit nowadays, to be honest, I don't watch TV anymore, except for The Walking Dead, Mad Men, and Breaking Bad, and some of the cartoons I watch and love, don't get me wrong.

 

I really hate Family Guy, Futurama, American Dad, and The Simpsons, it isn't even close to funny, just stupid.

 

Cop shows, reality TV shows, and Soap Operas are shit, enough to give you brain cancer from watching it.

The Big Bang theory. I have gotten so much flack from nearly every member of my family for not liking this show. The weird thing is that, by all accounts, I should like this show. More often than not I'm the only one who actually catches some of the geekier jokes, yet I can't stand any of the characters. AT ALL. I mean, take the most socially awkward person in the world and magnify that by a hundred and you might come close to Sheldon's level of awkwardness. I groan just thinking about it...

I don't care much for TV at all. All I can say there is, Simpsons and American dad. I just don't get those I guess.

But for movies.... The Hobbit! I hated it, so much. They never got me to care for all those dwarves that doesn't have any character development (Which is the problem). But my hatred just grew when I heard the line "That'll do it"...

So I don't get why people like it... Then we got Thor... Didn't like that one either. (Maybe since I've never read the comic)

Also Avatar, the one with all these blue human thingies... They're just creepy to me

 

But to fix a quick list so it's easier to see:

Basically most of what is on TV nowadays. Simpsons lost it's humor long ago. Futarama isn't popular, that's why it's getting canceled. Used to be good, but now it just sucks. I don't think anyone still like the new Spongebob episodes, back in the day the old ones were funny. The Walking Dead is starting to lose its appeal. I basically despise most anime out there, most of it is crap. I don't think that Family Guy is popular anymore so they don't it doesn't really count either. Basically just about everything on TV has fallen into decay.

 

All the "popular crap" out there that I haven't mentioned like anything on MTV or other channels is basically garbage. Cop shows too.  The shit they show on the history and discovery channel now. It goes on and on

 

A few good show still out there are that I can think of off the top of my head:

Okay now for movies:

 

Basically any movie that is considered entertaining, not critically acclaimed is garbage to me. Do not care for Titanic. Fast & Furious franchise comes to mind. Those stupid combining movies like Expendables. Most of the movies my friends usually want to go see, like Olympus has fallen and Taken 2.

Family Guy- I really don't like Family Guy's humor. It is really redundant and they do the same thing every episode. If I had a nickel for every time I heard: "This is almost as ___ as the last time..."

 

American Dad- Kind of boring in my opinion

 

The Simpsons- Don't get the appeal and it's "meh" in my opinion.

 

Avatar: The Last Airbender: Never really got into it and I don't think it deserves all the praise it gets, in my opinion.

 

Can't think of any other shows at the moment, but may add more later.

 

 

Movies:

 

Escape from Planet Earth: This movie was so annoying, cliche, and just plain awful. I actually cringed at some of the dialogue.

 

Ice Age: Continental Drift: This movie was a huge disappointment compared to how good the previous ones were. The story was simple, there were no touching moments like the previous ones, and I hate the musical number in it with a passion.

 

Can't think of anymore at the moment, may add more later.

I don't hate it, in fact I love it, but....oh, it pains me to say this one............the original Dragon Ball. Nowadays, it's used as nothing more than an excuse to bash DBZ, and is seen as the flawless God out of the entire Dragon Ball franchise. Some of the claims for DB and against DBZ infuriate me to no end. 

 

Humans were actually useful in DB? Hardly. They got more spotlight than in Z, sure, but more spotlight =/= usefulness. For example, Krillin accomplished more in Z than he did in DB.

 

DB had a better story than DBZ? The Frieza saga alone trumps any saga in DB story-wise.

 

I love the original Dragon Ball, but geez.....

I do agree with the Avatar movies. James Cameron's, while visually stunning, was nothing more than that. I knew the entire plot 10-15 minutes into the movie. It's Pocahontas in space. And unobtainium? Kill me now.

 

The Last Airbender was a joke. I personally love the series, and the movie failed to capture anything that I liked about it.

• Avatar (James Cameron). Really don't get why so many people love it. People told me it was the most amazing film ever made but it just didn't interest me one bit.

As far as tv shows go, I'd have to say anything on Trutv or as it used to be known "The Court Channel". It's just that their basic formula for their shows are to basically highlight the lowest denominator of humanity, and than to parade the exploits of the scum that they are. I honestly don't know who in their right mind would even call anything on that channel entertaining.
