With the recent announcing of KH 3 for the new Playstation along with the HD release for the PS3, what are your fondest memories of Kingdom Hearts, along with stuff like your favorite characters, worlds and stuff like that. I honestly love the series and it's one of my favorite games of all time.

 

So will you be getting the new one?

I liked the story...as long as you know how to follow it its pretty interesting also the battle system was pretty fun....Reaction commands were pretty fun but now the third one looks interesting since it show a small bit of game play  at the end of the teaser trailer

I'm not that excited about Kingdom Hearts, but I will probably buy KH3 when it comes out. I played the first and second game and enjoyed them both. My most fondest memory came from the first game. It was the fight with Sephiroth...still never defeated him even after all these years

You....would do well to at least read up on the story. There's going to be a massive jump from KH2 to KH3, four or five games' worth of story, and every single game in the series between the two will have a lot of story elements you'll need to be aware of. I know people who are still waiting on the game that explains the place with Keyblades all over the place from Kingdom Hearts 2.........that happened more than two years ago in Birth By Sleep for PSP, or people who don't know that the letter in the bottle at the end of KH2 was explained in Re:Coded. I'm not accusing anyone specific of this but there are people who try to say all the handheld Kingdom Hearts games are non canon and this is absolutely not the case. If you haven't played them, you're going to be lost as hell.

 

Anyway, I'm absolutely getting KH3. I've played every English-released version of the series and I'm even getting the 1.5 HD Remix that comes out in September. KH3 (and Final Fantasy XV) are going to sell me the Playstation 4. I will get it just for these two games and everything else will come later.

Riku is my absolute favorite character in the series. (Except maybe old Xehanort who's a total badass) and I was so happy to be able to play as him in Dream Drop Distance.

KH is still a very fun game and i liked Dream Drop Distance...especially playing as Riku but Ultima weapon is hard to get without Balloonga

Unless it was added when I wasn't watching the Vita doesn't have BBS on it's list of PSP games that you can get online and doesn't play UMDs so that'd be useless anyway.

what are your fondest memories of Kingdom Hearts?

Kingdom Hearts 1 was the first game to make me cry. The ending was just a massive feels bomb.

Can't wait to see what KH3 has to offer. I don't usually make a big deal out of graphics, but what was shown in the trailer was just beautiful. Judging from how those graphics are pre-alpha, they can only get better. :3

 

I'm glad they're finally bringing it back to the main consoles. I could never get a proper bearing on the story cos it was bouncing all over the place between different handhelds.

I'm really excited about the new KH  for the PS4, My favorite memory of Kingdom Hearts is playing Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded, First of all, I haven't really played a lot of Kingdom Hearts as much as my friends have, but out of all the Kingdom Hearts games I've played; Re:Coded is my favorite because of the story and the gameplay.

Some may raise pitchforks at me for what I'm about to say but I loved the combat in the games more than the story itself. Now don't get me wrong the story was quite good in KH & KH2, but combat though has always been the meat of the game for me. To me it seems so finely tuned that while it's simplistic on the surface it's much more complicated than one initially believes. 

Even though I've missed LOADS of KH games due to the fact that they've been on portables (PSP, 3DS) i'm not holding my breathe for the possibilities of them being turned into HD variants and ported to the PS3/4. 1.5 is right around the corner and I'm sure a 2.5 featuring KH2, Re:Coded & 3D will be in our inevitable future. Oh, and of course I'm going to grab up KH3! It's one of the reasons I'm grabbing a PS4 in the first place

There's been some rumors flying about that 2.5 was teased in 1.5's credits or something (it isn't out but leaks happen) but I don't see them putting 3D on it at all, it's too recent and one of their biggest sellers on the 3DS. If I remember right the rumor is KH2, Coded and Birth By Sleep though.

I played KH2 when I was younger, and never really knew what was going on. In the past few years, I've played Birth By Sleep, and 368/2 days...I don't know why but the only one I have "fond" memories of is 358/2 days...I just liked the characters, and plot the best. I never really like Sora, Kairi, ect. that much. I mean, I like them but I just felt way more emotionally invested in 358/2 days plot with Roxas, and Axel. That game made me love those 2 characters!

The only thing that's kind of irritated me about the 1.5 Remix is that 358/2 Days is just in there as cutscenes.

Would've been awesome if they could release it as a proper game kinda like what they did with Re:CoM, but obviously that sort of stuff requires tearing the game down and building it back up again.

They've got plenty of time to do that for the rest of the HD collection, so it's a possibility that we'll see playable versions of some of the other games.

As if Sony hadn't sold me enough already at their conference, they throw KH3 into my face as a way of saying "Yeah, you need this console."

KH3's set to release on PS4 and X1, so I guess it won't matter too much what I get.

Wait... it's releasing on the Xbox One? That's news to me... I thought KH was a Playstation exclusive. Then again, I never watched the full Sony E3 Conference. But either way... I'll be honest the only KH game I own is KH chain of memories, and while I did enjoy the game I've yet to get the other ones for the consoles and stuff.

 

I really dunno why. 

 

Its just one of those series that I really need to play, but for some reason( I guess money partly) I haven't.

Square Enix announced it at their interview panel. Can't remember exactly when that was, but I think it was a few hours after Sony's conference.

 

PS4 has captured my heart, especially after Microsoft's bomb. I had a lot of fun with my 360, but sadly... it's gonna stay with the 360.

Hmm... I'll look into that link. This is certainly news to me! I will be satisfied immensely if that's the case. I loved the Xbox and all it's features, but still I'll have to see for myself. I was probably gonna end up getting both after about a year with one of em anyways, lol

I've only finished BBS and KHI(I have KHII sitting around, but never got around to finish it), but I really enjoyed them. Not gonna lie though, I found Ven, Terra, and Aqua to be more interesting characters than the main cast

I played KHII before CoM and I remember being really confused, so now I try not to beat the games out of order. Anyways my favorite character is Roxas, he's like a reasonable mix between Sora and Riku (even if he is Sora), but BBS is my favorite game.
