My attempts at Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy.

Dsanders again, and I have just finished drawing another pony picture! This time, I decided to draw one of my two top favorite ponies, Fluttershy! And I just pretty much colored my once colorless drawing of Rainbow Dash! 

 

My only complaints, would probably be mostly the color, but hey, that's what happens when you use coloring pencils lol.

 

Let me know what you guys think! I only aim to improve and get better at it.

 

Here's my attempt at drawing Fluttershy.(Ignore the horrid handwriting haha)

Well, I gotta say you did purty damned well on that there Fluttershy. Right front leg's a little funky, but not bad all in all.

 

Rainbow on the other hand... Rainbow's still a little shaky. Keep workin' at it though, you'll get the hang of it.

They are great! but consider getting unlined paper. It's a pet peeve of mine! Artwork looks so much better on plain paper, even a sheet of computer paper if you don't have a sketch book per say.

Or you could always do what I do and just use the back side of an index card. I quite like the scaling it gives to my sketches. Makes it a little harder to add detail, but it's no fun if there's no challenge, is it?

Haha, and yeah the picture I drew of Fluttershy took at least two hours. First pencil sketched, then outline with pen, then pencil outline erased, then color. it took while, but in the end, the Fluttershy one became my most proud work thus far.

Looks like you did a pretty good job! The Rainbow Dash one is basically the same, so I'm not gonna talk about it much, but the Fluttershy is also quite good.

 

However, her front foreground hoof has a bit of a bump on the end of it, doesn't follow quite a gradual enough of a curve, i know it has a little bump on it in the vector, but it is just a bit to much in the drawing.

 

Also her front background hoof needs to have a more gradual size change, its basically the same size change rate, its just a bundled up hoof so its harder to see. Try to make it as it gets closer to her it gets smaller and doesn't get bulky in some places randomly.

 

Oh and on her back foreground hoof you have the same problem as the front foreground hoof. Generally speaking don't make to many sharp curves especially in ponies, most of the curves are gradual if not really all of them. Especially in the hooves, just remember to make them natural and you'll be ok .

 

And her back background hoof to match the vector could be a bit more straight I guess.

 

Anyways, enough tearing your art apart, it still looks very good! Honestly its better then what I can do really .
