I mean seriously, Twilight's brother didn't get mentioned until the season finale of season 2! But I was never one of those people who thought that Rainbow Shine was RD's mom. As for the female pegasus, I'm not 100% sure if that is RD mom or not. It could be her mom or just a random character that is close by. If it is that's fine with me. Not sure about the mom's name, seeing as she has no rainbows on her. Still fine with me. I do kinda hope they come into an episode in season 4, but I want to see all parents. However, I highly doubt that mare is her mom, as she's appeared as a background character a few times before(Sonic Rainboom for example). It is unlikely the mare on Rainbow's left is her mother, even though they have the same eyes. As for the mare, I don't think that she is the mother. She was shown as a background pony in Sonic Rainboom and Rainbow wouldn't has recognize her in the episode. My headcanon is that Rainbow's real mother was a busy weather pegases and didn't have time to spend time with her family. I also believe that she got her tomboy personality from her father.
