He went into the back room, looking around curiously. There were lots of ingredients and potions all about. He thought about what he was doing. Getting rid of his wings. Then something hit him. He didn't have any money. What if she made it and got mad that he couldn't pay? What if she hurt him? This magical mare could do anything to him. He slowly backed towards the back door.

Memento aimlessly wandered the streets of Germaneigh. He had been wandering for quite a while. He had only been in the city for a few days, thus making him not fully aware of his surroundings. Even so, he had not strayed from his usual ways. Which was, of course, winking at almost every single mare he happened to make eye contact with. Was it so bad for a creature such as himself to crave love? Of course not. Though this did make him not the most... loved among the stallions. Not that that mannered much. If all went well, he would be out within the next week. Memento was one to travel. He had to.

((Quick question. Shouldn't this RP be Private? :V))

@@Pripyat Pony,@,

Nighshade nodded.  "You are looking in the wrong place," she said.  "I have a couple that would work.  They are only temporary and the side effects aren't always good.  It could silence the wrong part of you or when the potion wears off, the other part will be stronger."  She levitated three potions onto the counter, one a sickly glowing green, one as clear as water, and the other a pale blue.  She peered back into the back room.  "It's not polite to leave without saying goodbye," Nightshade frowned.

Jay looked doubtfully at the potions. "Which one would you recommend?" she replied. "You see, Jinx, that's the other part of me, is already much stronger than I am. If I didn't know for sure that I was there first, I'd think that she was the real me, and I was just a pale copy. But I do know that I was here first." Jay stopped, not knowing how much to say.

Vesper heard her, looking over at her, terrified. He threw his cloak back on and ran away out the back door, dashing off as fast as he could. He ran and ran blindly. Eventually, he tripped and fell hard, in front of the town forge. His cloak fell off of his face. He shook in fear.

Nightshade thought for a moment.  "The clear one would work but it's the one that could silence the wrong half.  "You must make sure you are yourself when you drink it," she explained.  Nigthshade glared at the pony as he left.  He would pay next time.  She didn't appreciate rude ponies.

"I will, thank you," Jay replied. She would take it while Jinx was asleep. "How much is the potion?" she asked, hoping that she had enough bits to pay for it. Even if she had to go without food for a while, being without Jinx for a short while would be worth it. Jay waited for the reply.

"Eight bits," Nightshade said with a small smile.  She noted it was the last of its kind she had.  She wrote the name of the potion down so she could make some more that night.  "How did your second half come to be, exactly?" Nightshade asked, popping the cork off the bottle.  She plucked a hair from the mare's mane and dropped it into the bottle.  She put the cork back on and shook it.

@,

Forest raised an eyebrow and stared at the colt who had fallen in front of his shop.
He looked him over for a minute before groaning and standing up to help the colt back up to his hooves. "Y'alright?" He grunted, easily picking the colt up and putting him back down on his hooves. "Y'should be more careful."

He let Forest help him up, shaking nervously. He looked up at the big, strong stallion. "I-I....um....I....w-w....p-po....pony...mare....potion...h-hur....um...uh...th...thanks..." he stuttered, shrinking down before him. He pulled the cloak back over his eyes, making sure his wings were folded tight against his back. He looked at the stallion and the whole surrounding area, trying to figure out what to do.

He was too scared to refuse. Plus that potion mare might be after him..."Y-yes..." he said, taking a step closer. He stared at his hooves, being very shy. He pulled his cloak tighter around him for security and comfort. He took a deep breathe. Hopefully this strange stallion would be nicer...

Forest was still wondering if this colt was alright...mentally...but that didn't stop him from leading him into his shop...well, the roofed off area he called his shop.

He pulled out a chair for Vesper before going over to a nearby fire to put on the kettle.

He said, puffing on his pipe again and glancing over at the tea kettle before looking back at Vesper. "So...Vesper...where ya from?" He asked, wanting to know a little more about this interesting pony.

He slowly loosened his grasp on his cloak...though it still covered him up.

"Same...actually. Born and raised in Ponyville but after me mum died I moved here...I wanted to find a quieter place and maybe someplace better t'sell my stuff." He said, gesturing around at the many carvings and weapons...a few swords but there were more carvings than there were weapons.

He stood up and pulled the kettle off the fire, filling up two mugs and giving one to Vesper. "Green tea...all I got...sorry." He muttered.

Novella was known in town quite well. She wasn't sure if she was thought of in a bad or good way, but she liked it. She moved to Germaneigh when she felt strangled by Ponyville, from all of Equestria. She restarted her life in Germaneigh, and she quite liked it. When she moved here, the head librarian  died from... Unfortunate circumstances...And she applied immediately. She was able to take over quite quickly and most of the ponies just accepted it.

She was known for four things.

The first was her kindness, she was willing to help anypony at anytime.

The second, was her absolute craziness. She was always a bit off mentally, and it had intensified since she moved to Germaneigh.

The third, was her absolute drive to succeed. She always knew what she wanted, and she would do anything to get it.

The fourth was, simply, that she never slept. She was always waiting, watching, studying.

She didn't want to miss the celebrations today, but she had duties to attend to in the library first. She dusted some of the books on the shelves in the massive major room of the library under "non-fiction". She jerked her head to the left, looked into space with a puzzled expression, and turned back to what she was doing.

"Oh this one was good wasn't it? Yes..Yes it was.  I should bring this to the back...Not good for the public. Don't want to be late the festivities today..." She mumbled. She started levitating a book and teleported it to the back. Feeling satisfied with the upkeep of the library, she trotted to the back of the library, and opened an old and well-worn spell book she got from her grandmother. It was the only one left of it's kind, or so her grandmother said... It did contain some powerful magic, both dark and light. It only revealed the spells once the reader was ready. "Must hurry with this though.. Mustn't miss Chancellor Steeleye's big ceremony..." She reminded herself. It was good for her, getting out. Unless the insane part of her mind took over that is...

((WELL SINCE I'M NOT DOING ANYTHING I GUESS I'M GOING TO VISIT THE LIBRARY.))

Continuing to wander, Memento eventually stumbled upon what looked to be a library. Libraries were quite useful. Each one held different secrets, that he might need to know. Or at least be interested to know. Regardless, he would check it out. It was much better then being outside in the thin air that covered Equestria, when opposed to his home.

Opening the door slightly, with a low voice, he whispered "Hellooooo?"

He sipped his tea and puffed on his pipe. "At least you get to give them something in return." He muttered, stretching before replying. "No shame in that...so there's no need to only come out at night. Everypony is different...some more than others, and if that's how you live, then that's how you live, I have no problems with it." He said, sipping his tea again.

He nodded, getting more courage. "Thanks...but that's not why I stay inside during the daytime..." He too a deep breathe. "I...I'm not a normal pony...I'm a...a..." He took off his cloak, his wings expanding out for Forest to see. He closed his eyes, ready for a very negative reaction.

Forest looked over Vesper's wings, a little surprised but it didn't show. He casually sipped his tea. "A pony with bat wings..." He smiled. "I think that makes you look badass." He said, sipping his tea as he absentmindedly thought of his own "problem"...

He would much rather have bat wings than kill anypony he comes into contact with. He quickly pushed those thoughts out of his mind. "More tea?" He asked, gesturing to the tea kettle.
