There was little warning. A very, very hard, sharp, ropelike something struck Draco across the side of his face as he walked slowly away. It drew blood, and he was knocked clean off his hooves from the force of the blow. 

Eve was breathing heavily, the thorny stem of her Star Rose retracting, covered in her cerise magical aura. It seemed she had lengthened it and used it to whip him in a fit of rage.

 

The nerve of him!?! How could he? How DARE he? I'm the one who needs to grow up?! He dares to care after what he did?!

 

After a moment of seething anger at the pony on the ground before her, she blinked. She had just... She had just... 

The Star Rose's petals closed as tightly as they would go, and Eve fled, tears streaking her face. It was a wonder she could see at all. She ran straight past Dusk and Hop, past the pool with all the fish, and into a flowery meadow. She kept galloping until she had reached the far end of the meadow, where a solitary bench was placed under a lonely lamp. The flowers around her closed their petals too as she wept, curled up on the bench, alone.

Draco stood up slowly shaking his head. He placed a bandage n his face slightly as blood seeped through the bandages. He followed her slowly. He hid in the shadows allowing her to weep. He rewound the wound on his face with new bandages. "Another scar oh well," he thought to himself with a silent sigh.

Dusk had been looking around to his sides for anypony who would be walking around, and evidently had totally forgotten to actually look in front of himself as he and the mare collided. Being rather tall, and a stallion, he didn't move too much at the impact but instead he instinctively reached out to grab the mare should she have fell - however it seems she was perfectly fine too. "Oh, it's no matter" be smiled, discretely looking her up and down momentarily. "I uh, i'd give it a minute if I were you, before you go down there. It...doesn't look too fun, at the moment."

"Yeah, I know him, Draco. What did he do?" Hop asked mildly curious. "Im Hop by the way." she said holding out a hoof to shake. Hop looked the stallion up and down, having to look a little higher to make eye contact with him. "You're really tall..." she said as she continued looking at him.

During the whole slap fiasco, Vesper ran off to get a drink as a gift. He soon came back to Draco, holding out the drink as a present. "For Draco! Hi! I Vesper! I be your friend! Best friend!" he smiled cheerfully at him, his wings standing out lazily. He then saw the bandage. "Draco hurt! Vesper can help?"

Violet smiled at Vesper as he flew off to talk to Eve before she looked at Amour, smiling happily. "I'm so happy I decided to stay...I dunno, that walk through the maze...with you...then the three colts, it really made me feel special..." She hugged Amour tightly and smiled. "Thank you, Amour."

"N-nothing, I don't think. I...don't really know to be honest" Dusks ears perked up and his eyes widened as the mare mentioned his height, and he immediately shrunk down as much as he could, taking about a foot from his height. "I...y-yeah I...uh...thanks?" he stammered, being self conscious of his height, but not wanting to be rude. "I'm...well my name's Dusk" he replied, placing a smile back on his face as he shook the mares hoof lightly. 

 

Suddenly, Evergreen ran past the pair and seemingly disappeared into nothing as Dusk tried to look to where she had ran. He shot a concerned look at the mare he was just talking to before he asked "Do you...think we should go after her?"

"I'm fine Vesper. I deal with my wounds on my own. It's just a scratch mostly," Draco said as he took the drink and drank it slowly enjoying it. " Hmm good drink. Eve can be quite sneaky when she can tyou know," He just chuckled to himself as he looked to the night sky. "Nights like this are lonely,"

That made him remember what Eve said...Draco was lonely. Vesper immediately grabbed him in a very tight hug. "No lonely. I here! I be friend!" he said happily as he hugged. He hugged for an uncomfortably long time before finally letting him go. "Night time is the best time!"

Draco smiled when he felt the bat pony hug him. "Thanks. Yes your my friend Vesper. So do you like songs Vesper?" Draco asked as he looked to the bat pony. "As you heard I'm a good singer. Hmm even if Eve says no she'll hear this song," He said  as he began to sing into the night sky. He looked to the stars as he sang hoping she would hear him.

"Yeah, I have heard of her!" Slide responded. "She was actually one of the ponies I was going to introduce you to. But I guess I don't need to."

 

Slide continued walking, looking for either Vi or Amour. He didn't remember who else was with them, but he was sure they would introduce the rest to Remmy as well.

 

He spotted a hot pink coat out in the crowd, and a small smile spread across his face. There's only one mare that could be...

 

He walked up to Amour, hoping Remmy was following him.

 

"Hey, Amour," he said, slightly sheepish. "I wanted you to meet my friend, Remmy. I met her before I went charging into the maze to rescue Hop."

 

"Well, Remmy, this is Amour. I met her in the maze, and she brought me out of there."

"Oh I sing! I sing! Love sing!" he exclaimed, and then he began singing an unusual, but nice song that was not in any recognizable language. The song was accompanied by an ominous whistling sound as the air shot past his fangs. After a while he finished with a soft squeak. "Good! Love sing!"

Amour beamed at Violet when the pony hugged her and she hugged her back. She was about to say something on the borders of super corny and super lame, when she heard somepony say her name. She glanced behind her to see the stallion from before...Slide and another mare approaching them.

She smiled and extended a hoof to the mare, "Hi, Remmy." She said, and paused for a bit before pointing at Violet, "And this is Violet."

Violet smiled at Amour and looked up at the two new ponies...she found it rather rude that the colt never acknowledged her...but she ignored that and smiled at Remmy. "Hi Remmy." She said.

She looked at the colt and held out her hoof. "I don't think I ever got your name...I'm Violet Strike...don't take the last name literally."

"Well, I'm glad everypony knows each other now. And Vi, Amour, I can't thank you two enough for rescuing Hop and I back there." He lightly smiled, and shuffled his hooves. "And, um...sorry for the scene with Draco...he thinks I'm selfish, like "all the other colts."

 

He turned to Remmy. "And as long as I'm apologizing, I'm sorry for leaving you Remmy." He looked down, and shuffled his hooves again.

 

If I'm not careful, I'll look like an even worse pony if I do 't say this right!

 

"I...I thought Draco was with you, and didn't think twice about it when I saw him flying overtop of me. I was so focused about the mare who screamed that I forgot about you."

 

He looked down again, shuffled his hooves.

 

Great, what do I say now?

 

"Um...so, um, sorry, everypony. If we're going to be friends, I might as well get that out of the way..."

Vesper looked at Draco incredulously. He was obviously lying. There's no reason why anypony else would try to learn how to speak bat...He tried to ignore this and keep being friendly. "Draco have to let Eve go. If hug no end, how do other things? Let pony go after while..."

Eve, who had mostly pulled herself together by this point, sat up, sniffling slightly. She brushed a tear from her eye, and it came away red... She hadn't even noticed herself getting pricked by thorns... 

She reached into her satchel and wiped the cuts and her face clean with a spare bit of cloth. They had stopped bleeding by now, and were mostly hidden by her mane. So no worries there.

Sighing, Eve got up and trotted away, back towards the pool, where the other ponies had been earlier.

"Well anyhow let's cause some trouble shall we?" Draco asked with a mischievous smile on his muzzle. "Let's go bug Violet, Remmy, and Amour," Draco said with a smile as he opened his wings. He flew intoi the air and flies to the group of ponies laughing. He had a song in his heart.

"Okay!" he cheered, flying right past him, right up to the group of other ponies. "Hi! Pretty ponies again!" he said as he met Violet and Amour. He then turned to Remmy. "No know you. What name? I Vesper. Want be friend?" he asked in an adorably innocent and friendly manner. He folded his wings and landed.

Violet found it very rude how Again the colt simply ignored her. She grumbled something and withdrew her hoof.

However, her smile returned as Vesper showed up. She waved and smiled. "Oh him? He's mister don't know his name." She replied to Vesper, glancing up at Slide.

Frost made his way over to the others sitting by the stage, raising an eyebrow at Eve and Draco's confrontation. The poor gardener mare sure had a grudge with this pegasus, didn't she? He stifled a snicker as Draco took a thorny vine to the face, eyes following Eve as she ran off. Well. That could have been prevented had he intervened sooner. Part of the guitarist wanted to run after her to check on her. The other part...wanted to buck O'Malley in the chest and make him go apologize (under supervision, of course). And yet, a third part existed, which was in tune with his musician sense.

 

The gray pegasus trotted up on-stage, glaring up at Draco and laying his guitar case on the ground. He grinned at Violet, hoping she was watching. "Now, 'Draco,' was it? I know you declined my challenge earlier, but now, I think it's time I take matters into my own hooves." Frost undid the zipper of the case, pulling out a well-polished, angular white guitar with sparkling azure blue flames on it; the word 'Explorer' emblazoned on the stock. "Forgive me, you said you wanted 'music?' I doubt your Biblical ravings constitute as 'music.' Allow me to show you what it is." Taking up the guitar in his hooves, he rose up on his hind hooves, using his wings to brace himself as before. In his hoof glinted a small metal pick, which he used to strum the six strings once.

 

Frost began a riff, starting near the middle of the neck, then up a few frets, then a bit down back to the beginning. Anypony who had been to his concerts would recognize where this was going.

 Remmy's face lit up with about the amount of adorableness way as Vesper's voice. "Aw of course. You can call me Remmy! It's very nice to meet you Vesper!" She smiled at Vesper. She noticed his wings, and how they looked bat like. She also noticed that he didn't have the other features of a bat pony. What the? That's odd. She continued to smile at the adorable bat pony thing. Remmy found it rude that Slide wasn't responding to Vi. She honestly was starting to like this pony less and less.
