There is a manga coming out in Japan!

And guess who is doing it? AKIRA HIMEKAWA! Akira Himekawa is actually two people, Honda and Nagano. But why is this such awesome news? Akira Himekawa is the one (two?) who did Legend of Zelda serialization based on the video games.

 

As someone who already collects the comics, I hope this manga also makes it here.

I'm definitely buying these if they come to the US. I love manga, and I love ponies, so I can't wait for these. I especially can't wait to see what the plot is. It's Japanese, so it'll probably be really cool!

Although I don't like manga to terribly much I can say that this is a great idea first of all. Secondly it's interesting to see that MLP is spreading around the world and also spreading into different types of media. I'm imagining it right now, a future with Ponies everywhere. O_O

Often you can get people to translate managa and they'll edit out and throw english in the word balloons for an english translation. I'm sure this can possibly happen!!

This may be the greatest thing to ever grace man kind. I have loved manga for years now as well as the legend of zelda since i was very young. So if i can get my hands on a copy of the MLP manga i won't hesitate for even a second.

I have a passion for hating manga, I really don't see the appeal of it.

Even if I wanted to, I couldn't buy it, Serbia has a limited market for both manga and ponies.

I would love an electronic issue of the manga, but not so much an actual paper copy. Manga have pretty much all adapted a digest size. (About the size of a paperback book) My eyes just aren't good enough for that, and I can not read them. I love my Comicbook reader, and the swing arm monitor stand I have that enables me to rotate my computer screen from landscape to portrait!
