Sunny blushed as she heard Candy's other reason. It was sort of weird hearing it, but it  could sort of explain why Candy seemed so nervous.

Blush fading, Sunny completely turned around and walked over to Candy as she talked.

 When the mare stoppeed talking, she sighed. Now Candy seemed upset.

"No, it's fine. I guess I just got annoyed that you were lying, but now I get it. I'm sorry." she gave Candy an apologetic smile, trying to ease her worry, and gave her a light hug.

"As for my cutie mark, I'm curious too, but I don't usually think much about it. You don't need to hide it if you're wondering what my talent will be." her smile grew warmer.

"And as for the relationship thing, as well as you 'checking me out',' she gave a light giggle. "This is my first relationship too."

"But I'm flattered," she continued, teasing good-naturedly.

"In all seriousness, though, i can see why you were nervous. It's a little bit weird to actually be told somepony' was checking you out by the pony in question... I can imagine telling somepony that would feel weird." now she was the one with a somewhat defensive grin.

 

Through all of the teasing, hugging, Sunny's smiling and her words, Candy started feeling better. "It just makes me happy that we can talk about these things." She smiled, "You really are perfect." She paused for a moment, and grew a sly grin. Candy snickered, "...I could check you out all day." She said, hugging Sunny from the side. "I could...but I already know you're beautiful...so much so that it's distracting, sometimes."

 

Candy started preparing the salads, and set them out on the table for her and Sunny. She then pulled out a chair for Sunny, then herself, and began eating once she was seated. "So...would you mind me being 'distracted' by you in the store?" She grinned confidently. "She should be okay with a flirt, I hope."

Sunny smiled at Candy and chuckled at the returned teasing. 

She sat down across from Candy and started eating. The salad wasn't too bad. If she made sure to have a few daffodils with every bite, it was actually pretty good.

She was halfway through chewing when Candy caught her off guard with her question. she quickly swallowed before she let out her laughter.

"No, just as long as you don't get too distracted, I wouldn't want to have to pick your foods for you," she teased, giving the mare a grin to show it.

Candy laughed in return, and finished her salad. "Sweetie, I'll let you pick anything for me. As long as it's not another mare." Candy rolled her eyes, "Can't be having that. You're irreplaceable" She leaned across the table and kissed Sunny when she was in mid-chew. Candy didn't care though, she was absolutely comfortable with Sunny in every way that she probably could be, at least in her mind.

"I think they're on your side of the bed!" Kaz shouted to Bass whilst in reality he was strutting around in front of the mirror with them on. "I think they look quite good on me, don't you?" Kaz said as he emerged from his chamber and struck a pose with Bass' signature glasses outlining his amethyst eyes.

 

Before Bass could answer there was loud thud at the door. DSH DSH DSH. "BUCK, BASS SHUSH. I think it's the landlord... Oh buck, I bucking missed my payment! How did I forget?!" Kaz whispered in sheer panic. "Just stay quiet for now. Let's see what they do."

Bass was going to react to Kaz wearing his shades, but decided against it, and instead stood there, quiet. He then whispered to Kaz, "Don't worry, I'll take this payment off your hoof. After all, my pay was pretty good last night, and should at least be enough took take care of one payment yeah?" Without letting Kaz respond, he walked over to the door to answer it, and potentially ward off a certain landlord with a nice juicy check, and found a yellow and black pony standing there at his door. "Here, here's a check that should cover the- wait, you're not Kaz's landlord, are you?" The now confused tan unicorn asked.

"Nope, I'm Thunder Dash, a visiting pegasus traveling from Cloudsdale. I heard you were a great musician. I'm a musician too. Are you busy at the moment so we could chat for a while?" Thunder Dash asked as he looked around the hallway waiting for Bass's answer. @,

Sunny laughed again.

"Don't worry about that," she said, finishing off her salad. "I don't want to be replaced."

When they were completely finished, she took the dishes over to the counter and put them in the dishwasher. She turned around to face Candy.

[Courageous Thunder Dash 7,824]

"Well, if you want to chat or jam anytime, I'm in room 304." Thunder Dash said as he walked off back to his room. 

 

"Hopefully I could jam with him sometime. He seems like a really cool pony." Thunder Dash said as he walked to his room. 

 

He finally arrived to his room and set up his music studio. He hooked up his guitar, pedals and amplifier and tested them.

With the bush yielding a large amount of berries, Pondah quickly became full up. He wiped his muzzle on the grass to remove any stray juice and began to think about his next move.

 

'Perhaps I could try to learn my way around so that next time I'm with somepony else, we aren't just wondering aimlessly. We could have some idea of where we are going.

 

​Now with a plan formulated, Pondah travelled back across the park and into the main city. After several laps of the nearby area, Pondah felt as though he knew the area well enough.

Ember made his way into the first grocery store he found, wandering aimlessly, oblivious to the looks of other ponies at the smell of soot hanging around him and the smoke still rising from his tail.  As he found an aisle with fruit in it he happily tried to pick up a couple apples with a simple levitation spell, only to have his broken horn send off a couple sparks and have the apples fall to the floor.  He looks around nervously when he sees a couple of mares in the aisle near him.  With a nervous laugh and embarrassed smile he tries to scoop the apples up with his hooves.  "Heh, heh, umm...  Don't mind me."

Candy was about to say something flirty, but she was distracted by the bothered stallion next to them.
 

 

 

"Heh, heh, umm...  Don't mind me."

 

 

Candy gave a good-natured snicker, and helped levitate some of the apples that Sunny had missed. She then noticed the unicorn's horn was broken. "What happened to your horn?" She blurted out in surprise, not even aware of the impoliteness of her question.

"Uh... You look like you're having some trouble scooping them up," she said, and a light blue aura surrounded her horn as she levitated some of the apples he had missed.

 

"Oh, thanks...  I just didn't get much sleep, I tend to have difficulty when I'm ti-"

Ember blushed profusely at the mention of his horn, quickly turning his head.  Oh I wish my mane was long enough to cover that, he thought to himself.  He slowly raised his eyes back up to look at the mares, fumbling over his words.  "That's, umm...  That's a long story...  Thanks for your help, but...  I won't bother you anymore, I just..."  His words become basically inaudible as he tries to think of something to say that's not related to his horn, the only thing that's understandable is something about a manticore.

While Rut-Light looked over the locomotive he was really shocked by its appearance; It had a glossy navy blue coat, the Coupling rods which connects the driving wheels of a locomotive to each other were now silver, the whistle was now a shiny gold with a new golden chain in the cab connected to the whistle to pull.  Inside the cab was now a cloud gray with the regulator being a bright red, the reverser was now a cold bronze color and there was a new handle replacement for the sander (for those that don't know the sander drops sand to help the wheels grip the tracks better to prevent wheel slippage) and was a darker shade of bronze.  Rut-Light pulled the lever to open the doors to the firebox and the inside was a spotless metallic gray.  One of the painters came up behind him and asked, "So, what do you think?"  Rut-Light was speechless all he could say was, "I..I have no words.  This looks amazing and so beautiful."  He looked at the painter and said, "This is incredible.  You've done a great service."  Rut-Light got into the locomotive and started piling coal into the firebox; via shovel, closed the metal doors let steam pressure build, moved the reverser around so they would move forward, released the brake 100% and finally move the regulator to 38% so the speed would be acceptable for the yard limit of only 27 mph.  As the train slowly pulled out of the Steam-works its new paint scheme shinned in the Baltimare sun and looked like new.

HOW DO THEY KNOW THAT YOU'RE LIVING HERE?!" Kaz's thoughts were all over the place right now. "Celestia! What's going on, Bass?"

Bass walked over and put a hoof on Kaz's shoulder. "Just calm down, everything will be fine." Then after a reassuring smile, he hit him on the shoulder lightly and said, "That's for wearing my shades."

 

He added a laugh, and magically retrieved his shades from the purple maned stallion. "If you want, I can get you a pair, but they'd need to be..... more your color." He said, trotting over to his equipment to begin working.

She looked down, she swore she could feel Sunny staring angrily at her, though she still hoped for that not to be the case. "Forgive me." She was talking out loud, and though the question was intended for Sunny, it would sound like it was for the other unicorn.

Skycoaster was amazed by how the little unicorn colt just seemed to vanish.

"Um....OK," He said, "I was just going to ask if you had seen them, that's all.....I'll buy you breakfast if you find one or two of them!"

 

"Well, this went as well as expected. I better go see how that team is going." He shuttered at the thought.

 

Wow, Good Job gu....Um, you only cleared half the sky...three of you in an hour." He facehoofed. "Let a pro show you how it's done!"

 

Skycoaster got to work busting clouds for Baltimare, putting on a show in the process, "See guys! You have to have fun doing this or it takes forever. Make it a game and it's a snap."

 

For once Skycoaster was having fun in Baltimare since he arrived. He was getting a little two wrapped up in his work and did not hear the weather pony warn him about the giant storm cloud he was flying towards at full speed.

"See guys! Watch this!" As he flew head on into the cloud. A loud thunder boom could be heard all over Baltimare and a bright flash lit the sky as Skycoaster spiraled out of control out of the sky towards an opening in the park, crash landing into a large tree.

 

"Ow, my ribs. That storm cloud did....ow. Oh crap. I...I think I may have injured myself. I better just fly on out of ow..Um maybe not."

 

He had hoped somepony had seen him fall in the tree as he passed out.

Minutes after the orange pegasus left the tree, Starshine slowly dispelled the invisibility enchantment around him. He was tad surprised when the pegasus didn't chase the illusion below, or even punching the branch he was on to see if he was still there. The stallion even spoke about buying him breakfast. "Very unusual," Starshine mused. Feeling curious, he checked inside his saddlebag for any medallion.

 

"Bag of bits, bag of bits, hoofwatch, bag of bits, rusty cellphone..." After a minute of rummaging around, Starshine pulled out a round cooper medallion from the saddlebag. He raised an eyebrow. The stallion mentioned that he had six of these medallions, but there was only one in his saddlebag. He grinned. Now he have a mission, to retrieve the missing five medallion! They must be very expensi-

 

*KABOOM*

 

A loud thunder boom could be heard all over Baltimare and a bright flash lit the sky. A very startled Starshine lost his grip and fell to the ground screaming, "Bloody trout!" He landed painfully on a thick bush, everything in his saddlebag was spilled all over. He groaned and struggled to gather his belongings before anypony saw him. "Ow..."

"We need to think of our safety, I know all about that 'love and tolerance' stuff that Celestia pipes on about but not everyone follows it." Kaz put his hoof out to Bass. "Well, I guess. I don't know though Kaz. Who do we tell then?" Bass was honestly confused.

 

He turned to face his equipment again. "Uh, I should probably just get back to work," the stallion said, not knowing what else he could say. "After all, I need to get a lot done on these tracks today..."

"Okay, well you get to work, I'll pop out and get us a nice bottle of Pinot Grigio to officially celebrate... Well... Us!" Kaz said as he walked towards the door.

 

"Stay out of trouble, Bass! Cya soon." Kaz shouted as he slammed the door shut.
