How far would you go for an abducted child?

Well, I was watching a movie called, "Amber Alert", and it got me wondering...how far would you go for an abducted child?

Here's the first scenario:

You see the amber alert that describes the car that kidnapped the child and you manage to find that car driving...would you follow it or just call the police and let them handle it?

Here's the second scenario:

What if the car went to a house and the kidnapper went inside with the child, would you stalk the house or sit in a car and wait outside?

Third scenario:

The kidnapper goes to the store and leaves the child behind...would you go inside the house? What if you went inside and found loaded guns, would you leave or keep looking?

Final Scenario:

While in the house, you hear that he has returned along with the sound of gun shots...what now?

Personally...I have little to no idea, I just want to know how you all would react?

So, pretty much, play it safe or attempt to rescue a kidnapped child?

Hello!

I'm not going to pretend to be a super hero and risk my life that easily for a child I don't know, but, I would take definately inform the police, and I would try to give them as much information as I can.

First scenario: I'd call the police, definately, but I would also follow the car a little bit, just out of curiosity :P.

Second Scenario: Sit in a car, and wait till the Police arrive.

Third Scenario: No, I'd leave that to the police.

1.  Follow him or her around while calling police, when police arrive, allow them to handle the situation

2.  At this point, call the police, let them handle the situation as they are trained and I may cause more harm than good.

3.  Same answer as 2.

4.  You said loaded guns everywhere?  GAME ON!  WE RUMBLE!

First Scenario - I'd probably follow the car trying to find out more information

Second scenario probably stalk the house and not do anything and keep doubting myself

Third scenario probably would lead to me going inside myself, I've always pulled random stunts like this. As-long as he doesn't have the loaded guns in his hands I'm fine.

Final Scenario would probably end with me going into survival mode probably forgetting about the kid hiding somewhere hopefully to ambush him. However, if I had the kid with me we'd be out of the back door as fast as possible. But by that time I'd probably value myself over the kid I don't even know or might have anything in common with.

First one: I would follow them all the way no matter how far they go I'm not stopping the kid needs to be back with their Loving mother and father.

2th: I would wait outside for him to come out or leave

3th:I would go in side and take one of the guns and tell the kid "its ok I'll get you home even if it kills me".

4th: I would get the kid outside and tell them to run for help! I would then stay in that house and make sure that son of a bitch does not leave so they many never hurt a soul again even if it killed me, he would never leave that house alive...

I would call the police and not follow the car. There is nothing I can do to help by following, and doing so may make things even more complicated for the authorities.

Scenario 1:

I'd take a picture and call the police afterwards. Thanks to the picture, I have evidence that I actually have seen the car which may promise for faster police response time. I may or may not follow it depending on traffic, but I'd be weary in case the criminal driver spots me as that could endanger the child. I'm leaning towards not following tbh.

Scenario 2:

While the criminal is inside, me going into the house will DEFINITELY endanger the child. That is not a risk I'm willing to take in order to save him/her. I would also take a picture of the house and send it to the police. They'll be able to then determine the house location and act more quickly.

Scenario 3:

I would go in, and if I found loaded guns, take pictures of those too and show them to the police. A kidnapper with guns inside the house may or may not own them illegally. The house contents might also be further indication of criminal activity.

Scenario 4:

The gun shots could be coming from outside, so sending the child out alone would be dangerous. Most likely, I'd seek to leave from the backdoor is there is one (most houses do) with the child and avoid getting caught up in the heat of the action. One thing I learned from knowing about this scenario is if I were to enter the house of a kidnapper and that kidnapper left, best thing to do is block the entrance so that there would be less risk of this scenario even happening. The police would also already be on their way after my initial call out.

1st: Call the police.

2nd: Neither, i'd still call the police.

3rd: Call the police again.

Final: I wouldn't be in the house, the police would be.
