Though you would be stuck with integrated Intel graphics when you are in portable mode, which is, well, still decent enough to play AAA titles at low-medium settings at acceptable frame rates. But still, it's pretty cool that if you're home you can just crank up the horsepower by plugging that notebook into the PCI-E interface the box has, containing a full desktop GPU in it, plug an external monitor in, and start cranking the settings and frame rates up. WOHOO!

 

Still doesn't beat building a desktop PC, since you can get similar for less, but nonetheless, it's cool...

Yeah I prefer to build and have a separate laptop. Besides laptops always present the problem of "What if something breaks?"
