Why is it that people trust the word of politicians more than scientists? It seems like people fall for it hook, line, and sinker whenever a politician says something along the lines of, "Climate change isn't real! This freaky weather we're having? It's just a freaky year! There is nothing wrong with the earth!" But when scientists say something like, "We've observed a lot of data and facts and we know climate change is real. There should be a worldwide effort to try to save our fragile planet," people just shrug it off.

 

Or, at least, we should try to save ourselves. At one point, I thought we'd kill ourselves off with war. Now I thihnk it's probably going to be the extreme weather we're creating that'll kill us off. Though I'm sure if the planet gets too warm, we'll die off but life will go on. The remaining plants living here will slowly filter out all the carbon dioxide we made, the planet will cool off, there might be another ice age, and perhaps in a million years, a new species will arise. One that will grow to better understand how this planet works and not take its resources for granted. 

 

And one day they will find our internet. And they will see everything we did. And they'll be embarrassed for us lol
