      105
    • Count back down to 1 (then back up)

If learning German was learning to walk, Swedish would be learning to breathe

It's way easier

„I shall be quiet as a calm sea. Which is... not... very quiet.“

„This is intolerable!“

„Even combat is a partnership... for a little while.“

Yeah, how do you do the whole masculine feminine thing though  One thing I hated with French lol

What do you mean?

Like that we have multiple words for "the"? :ooh:

„I shall be quiet as a calm sea. Which is... not... very quiet.“

„This is intolerable!“

„Even combat is a partnership... for a little while.“

Like, in French each word is spelt differently on whether it's masculine or feminine... Lol I don't know, I never understood it. All I know is there's a similar system in German, or so the internet says

Damn us English and our inability to learn languages

Ah, alright!

spontaneously, I cannot find such an example in the german language right now, but yeah, that might be a thing

I guess when you grow up with a language you don't really pay that much attention :derp:

The cool thing in swedish is, you only conjugate (trust google on this one) verbs only after the time, not the person :yay:
so if I, you, she, we, they do something doesn't matter, it's the same word :derp:

Yes, we have

"der", "die", "das", "den", "dem"

Oh wow, that is really weird. I don't think I'd ever get my head round that one  I'd keep forgetting and try to think of an individual word lol

Example: Love in present tense

love = älska (swedish)

I love - Jag älskar

You love - Du älskar

He loves - Han älskar

She loves - Hon älskar

We love - Vi älskar

You love - Ni älskar

They love - De älskar

so, present tense = add "r" to the end of the infinitive of the word  (I am sure there are exceptions, there always are)
