I did play it though lol My brother brought his PlayStation over one afternoon and I played it some. It's alright. Not exactly my cup of tea. Maybe I'm just spoiled by the huge AAA games? XD

Well, I don't know. I think Isaac is a heck of a much, much better game than 99% of AAA games. It's certainly not for everyone though, as it's a lot different from most games, and all that. It's certainly not for everyone.

What exactly was it that you weren't too fond of though, or that didn't interest you about it?

I guess I just couldn't figure out the control scheme. I died in 20 seconds because I couldn't figure out where everything was. And there was just too much going on, and I was easily overwhelmed by it all. My mind is so one-tracked. I'm a horrible multitasker and that translates to how well I can play a game with a lot going on. If I've got half a dozen enemies to keep up with....yeah. Maybe it's just something I'd need to practice at, but for now I'm going to try to beat the other dozens of games I haven't even played or beat yet. I've still got the first two BioShock games, GTA V, Hotline Miami (which I won in last year's Christmas raffle), and a number of others.

The controls are pretty simple. Move with the left stick or directional buttons, shoot tears in the 4 directions with the right one, or the face buttons. The triggers can be used to lay a bomb, use a tarot card/pill/rune, or use your active item. The game get's pretty confusing some times with all the different items, combos, enemies and bosses, but the control scheme is actually really simple. Moving and shooting are really the only two things you'll usually need to do when in combat.

You may also have had some extra difficulty though, you said your brother brought the game over? The game get's harder and more complex the more you play, and the more you unlock. So, it's possible you were starting out in harder situations because of that. If you were getting the Cellar instead of the Basement for a starting level, then that's especially going to make things more difficult for a beginner.

@, Mkay. Well maybe I'll just have to give it a shot on my PC or PS3 one of these days. I still have to beat the myriad of games I got in last year's Steam sale which I haven't even played yet :derp:

Not on PS3 actually, just PS4/Vita for playstation consoles. The PC version would unsurprisingly be the way to go if possible though. Beating other games may be best, as actually legitimately digging into Isaac and completing things can take over 100 hours easily, it's a much larger game than it seems on the surface.

Also, enjoy Hotline Miami. That game is awesome, pretty short though. The sequel is great too. :)
