How about disabling XHCI Mode in the UEFI BIOS?

I love you. In my hour of need, you descended from the clouds and gave me everything I needed. I am forever in your debt. :pinkie:

*contacts AMD and gets an R9 390X2 prototype just for Filleh*

I wish I could do that lol

It holy ballzing worked, Woona!

Well...partially.

Now I can't get my Ethernet drivers to work.

I've even uninstalled and reinstalled them. Then I rebooted. Then I balanced a potato on my head. And you know what? I'm about as good at balancing potatoes on my head as I am at fixing bullshit like this. .-.

At least I have a WiFi card. I'm about to jump to Rosewill's site to see if they have drivers available for download.

I never had this kind of trouble with my FX. When I plugged shit into the motherboard, it just worked.

I'm seriously getting closer and closer to an RMA.

It should not be this much trouble.

Then you are a mother.

Happy Mother's Day :)

*hugs*

which will be over in about an hour, but still :P

Apparently mothers day was originally mothering day and had a completely different meaning.

I know you have installed and reinstalled the NIC drivers all over again, but not sure, maybe try using the driver provided there...

Basically, it was originally that you went back to the church that mothered your faith, and in doing such, tended to be heading to family and friends :)

I have no idea which church I would say I'm "from" though :P

Not without consent if I hugged first ;)

Well, anyway, Imm heading to bed, night all :)

*hugs everyone*

I can't get it to work, and I'm at my wit's end with this. If I RMA the board (I frickin knew I should have just got a new one instead of going refurbished), that means I'm going to have to pull my heatsink and I'm out of thermal paste. So I'll have to get more thermal paste, too.

I guess I'm going to have to be patient and figure it out tomorrow evening. I'm just already fed up with this crap, though. I shouldn't have to go through all the trouble of installing hardware just to have to jump through a bunch of software hoops. Do you know how hard it was to get on the internet with my FX? I just had to plug the ethernet cable into the back of my machine. I didn't have to navigate driver hell just to come to a dead end. And do you know how insanely difficult it was to get WiFi on my old board? I had to slip the card into my PCI slot, screw it in, and connect to a freaking hotspot!! That is literally all I had to do! IT SHOULD NOT BE THIS DIFFICULT!

But I'm too fucking frustrated to deal with it anymore. So I'm going to read the 4 MLP comics I picked up today, take a shower, and go to bed.

Thanks for trying Filly. It really means a lot that someone is helping me out. I don't know how you find this stuff so quickly. Maybe I'm just using the wrong search terms. I don't know, but I've got no more patience for this right now. I just want to RMA these things and go back to my FX chip. Or huck this thing off the top story of a really tall building. But no. I will persevere. Getting so frustrated you just send your things back is console mentality. Besides, I fix things. But if I cannot get it working by probably Wednesday, I'm calling it defective or cursed or something and I'm going to RMA it. It honestly shouldn't be this difficult to connect to the goddamn internet.

*gives Woona another huggable Linus and GabeN plushie* :(

Yeah, I don't think refurbished products are worth the potential hassle and time wastage in exchange of more $$$ savings over a more expensive, but more guaranteed to work OOTB brand new one.

Welcome back to CTAM @Pinkie-Guy! :pinkie:
