My avatar is the character Elly Van Houten, from Xenogears. The reason I choose her at this time is because I found this picture whilst I was coloring and tracing a different picture of her over Google. It is an official artwork, and I just loved the way it looked. The mysticalness of the pose feels very much like me and it fits the word of "Aethel." Also, I love Elly very much. She's one of my favorite characters ever and I just think she is so pretty. (I have a thing for redheads and long hair, and it flowing around in the wind like that is beautiful.) Also, the uniform. That uniform is my favorite of all the uniforms I have ever seen.

 

Other than appearance, I feel in many ways, she fits my personality as well. She's kind of a ditz sometimes, but is a pure-hearted woman who is being dragged along to make the wrong choices with the bad guys because it's all she knows. Elly has no idea what to really do with her life other than follow a set path that has been offered to her. I can relate to that in that whilst I know what to do with my life, I don't know HOW to do it and I've been trying to conform to set paths set by others that aren't the correct fit for me to try to figure it out.

 

Also, she is very motherly and caring. And I feel that I have that capability as well.
