I do. I even have an achievement for it.

I've been playing it on Origin, but I'm hoping to have more people to play with. I like the community focus of Team Fortress 2, and have been missing out on that with anonymous 6v6 games.

I'm PvtLastClass if you want to find me.

Well it is on PC as well! And since the PC version has 1080p resolution and 60fps a lot of people prefer it, but I don't believe in the PC Master Race so here we are playing Titanfall on console!

Oh my, that just came back to bite me, didn't it? ^^

My bad! ^^"

I was immensely excited for this game. Parkour ? Sci-fi setting ? Giant robots ? All that in the Source engine ? Buck yeah, count me in !

Sadly, a price that high... I don't think I can buy it any time soon. I was praying for a beta so I could at least try it a little. And then, they announced it. I immediately signed up for it.

I almost crashed into the ceiling when I received my beta key email... for the wrong platform. First disappointment.

Then, after a very long installation, problems with Origin prevented me from launching the game. One more hour or so, and it finally launched. And...

It was unplayable. Like, really. Even on the lowest settings, graphical artifacts, distorted and disappearing models and textures, missing UI elements...

I tried getting help on the forums. There were MORE THAN 80 PAGES in the PC bug masterthread, about half in the XBone thread. The devs didn't give any advice.

And yes, I did have a good enough PC to run it. In fact, I even had better specs than one of the devs who had posted his. A lot of people with AMD/nVidia cards were having similar issues.

So yeah. The devs made me go from immensely excited, to annoyed, to frustrated, to sad, to immensely pissed about this game.

I know it was just a beta, but still...

I would've bought the game, but 48gb is a dealbreaker for me, and I don't have an Xbox.

Actually, if anyone's interested, I'll give a bit of background.

Most of that filesize is for uncompressed audio. They said that older computers were having trouble maintaining the CPU power to read all the various sound effects going on in the game, all the time. When they're uncompressed, it reduces that load a little bit. Frankly, though, I don't buy it. My perfectly normal gaming computer has some pretty bad audio glitches in Titanfall more than often - and I'm absolutely sure it's not the single most audio-intensive game to come out in the past decade. More than likely, it was the result of some audio glitch they never figured out during launch crunchtime.

Wow, Engi - I'm glad you got to discover the issues in a beta, rather than spending $60 for a game that wouldn't work.

Hey, if you want to try it some time I can lend you my Origin account. I know I'm not supposed to trust people with that kind of stuff, but I do have to say the game is VERY try before you buy. That said, it's far more optimized than the 'beta' (read, badly optimized Demo) was. At least, it went from 30FPS on an AMD FX-8350 and an overclocked 770 GTX to playing at 50fps on a machine that was maybe an eighth as powerful.

Sure. Just don't screw up my K/D, ok? Honestly I can't play many games at the moment, so it's one of those win-win-win situations..

So, it's been a while since Titanfall has come out. Those who have purchased the game have had a chance to form an opinion. So now here's the big question: What do you guys think of Titanfall now?

Well you know, Titanfall being out only for Xbox One kind of limits what consoles I can play on, you know? ^^"

So exclusive, it's also on the PC.

Speaking of which, does anyone here have Titanfall on the PC? I've been thinking of getting it but I'm not signing up for Origin for one game if nobody here plays it, much less just for one game. Also, $60 for a digital download, what the fuck EA?

You know, you've already corrected me on that, right? Don't have to rub it in! ^^"

By the way, I meant to ask everyone: What is your favorite Pilot/Titan loadout?

On my PC:

G24 with holo match trigger

Auto-45 for Titan killing

Mag Launcher

Frags and Explosive pack

Don't remember perk 2

On my laptop:

R-97 with extended mags

Auto 45 again

Mag launcher

Same perks

Titan:

Atlas

40mm cannon

Cluster missile

Ejection nuke

Survivor

Bumping this thread to let anyone who still plays Titanfall know that all DLC is now FREE on all platforms! I have it on PC myself, and haven't played in a month or so. I'm gonna hop on and give it a try soon with the new content.

It's all free? Holy cow, that's awesome!

I've played it quite a bit in the past, should give me an incentive to start playing again  :pinkie:
