Songs that should be finished/longer

I was gonna post this in Octavias Hall but do you have any My Little Pony songs in your head that you think should be finished/longer?

I don't think none should be longer or finished, they're all great in their own terms.

 

However, I should mention, that the babs seed song had an alternate rock version by Daniel Ingram.

 

That's something I would love to see.

Daniel Ingram tweeted a while back that there was an unreleased extended version of I've Got to Find a Way. I don't know how it would be released though, maybe in one of the first two episodes of season 4 seeing as Magical Mystery Cure is said to be part one of a three-parter.

I've Got to Find a Way is definitely one I would like to see a longer version of. Though I think I read somewhere that Daniel Ingram made an extended version.

"I've Got To Find A Way" gets my vote as well.

 

It's my favorite song in the show and it's definitely different from the rest.

 

I hope a longer version gets released eventually.

I've Got To Find A Way should have been longer, I don't know if they told Ingram to just make the song short for no apparent reason. The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000 song should have been shorter or at least finished early, because the song took up a lot of time in the episode for something to happen.

Yeah, I've Got To Find a Way definitely, it's great as it is but a few more verses would have been nice. I'll also say the Cupcakes Song Pinkie sings, it's actually very good imo but a little too short and random for my tastes generally. So Many Wonders could probably use a bit more to it as well.

I like the songs the way they are =) although yes a longer "I've got to find my way would be nice", also that alternative babs seed rock version is something i would definitely subscribe to =D

The way they are is perfectly fine, although "I've Got to Find a Way" would have been nice for longer.

 

I think there was some song I wished would end earlier, but I don't remember what it was.

Yeah, "I've got to find a way" really deserved much, much more in my opinion. It's great because it's different.

 

And I will admit that I wouldn't mind if they extended "Becoming popular" a bit too, or made the "Love is in bloom" longer. But these are just my personal preferences, since both songs were mighty fine and fitting.

This is probably only me, but I also think that Giggle At The Ghosties needs to be a little bit longer.

 

And is anyone thinking of Hush Now Quiet Now?

This Day Aria is about 58 minutes too short. For such a dramatic piece it does seem to come to a...erm...premature climax.

 

I'll also agree with Hush Now Quiet Now. That Sweetie Belles's got some pipes.

Most songs seemed perfectly lengthened and in place for me.

 

Besides songs like "I Have to Find a Way" were ment to be short especially since that episode was basically a musical. It already got the point across telling us that Twilight screwed up big time so adding more to the song would most likely make it worse.

1. Definitely true about "This Day." I just feel like the ending could have used one final, evil verse.

1.5. I really hate Sweetie Belle's rendition of "Hush Now, Quiet Now." I wish Fluttershy would have gone on a bit more. I actually have Sim Gretina's "Hush Now Quiet Now" Fluttershy remix on my iPod and in my MLP remix collection, lol.

 

2. I felt like "So Many Wonders" was an exactly perfect length for me, but I am definitely biased since that is my absolute favorite song on the entire show.

The ending to "A True, True Friend" was the most disappointing ending I've heard. Why? Because Twilight and friends didn't finish on the tonic note B. They remained stuck on a note that had little relation to the tonic chord of B, making the song feel incomplete. If they could change that around to make the ending end on a tonic chord, that would make it much better.

 

As for longer, I don't think any of them were too short. All of the songs' lengths were perfectly appropriate.

Now that I think about it, I'm not the only one that feels that the main theme should be a tad bit longer right? I remember the first time I heard it and it cut to the ".. friends!" ending word and it was over, I was like, "that's it? That doesn't sound finished at all."

Pinkie's "Hop skip and jump" song from Dragonshy. There is an extended version, but it was cut in the actual episode. I really don't like the official version, and I think they should have used the original:

I really wanted Fluttershy to be allowed more time to shine with her rendition of "Hush Now, Quiet Now".

 

Just when I was enjoying Flutter's soothing little lullaby, and I have to say Andrea Libman has a rather beautiful singing voice, and then Sweetie Belle comes along and does her thing!

 

Perhaps Flutter will be given another chance to sing a sweet song someday... (ha, too many s's there?)

I would want to see Pinkie Pie's cupcake song longer. It is yet the most shortest song in the show and I can even make a sandwhich faster than that.

I thought Morning in Ponyville should have been extended. It's a good song, but it could have been so much better imo if they had made it longer instead of cutting it off so quickly. I was really digging it when I was watching MMC for the first time, and when Twilight got splashed I was like aww D:
