TV Guide says MLP: FiM one of the best, ever

We know these lists are often flawed - sometimes on purpose to generate debate. But this is pretty cool.

I think its about time someone decided to mention MLP for its quality and not its fanbase. It doesnt nearly enough credit outside of its fandom as a kids show. Its pretty much synonymous with creepy fans, so its nice to see it being recognized for its quality

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised to see it listed there. I'm not complaining, of course, it's nice to see the show give some well deserved credit. Especially since most pass it off as some girly kids show with no value. I also wasn't surprised by most of the shows listed there either, those were obvious, but MLP is a nice surprise there.

Nice, it often pains me when people over-look the show's quality and spend entire discussions about it talking about how weird we are, so this is a nice change of pace.

Those are some good choices they made, one them (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) having the honor of being my favorite show of all time. It is nice to see MLP get a little recognition, now lets see how long it takes for the haters and troll to flip out.

Yeah I saw that before, very cool that they mentioned My Little Pony at least. I see Futurama there too, very nice. Overall a good list for the most part(Family Guy gets on there but not American Dad, huh...).

I am happy to see MLP on there.  It really does deserve to be on there.  I'm also happy to see Futurama and Loony Tunes (Which should've been number 1) on there as well.

Futurama will always hold a place in my heart as the best "adult" cartoon. It manages to use it's freedom for more mature humor without going overboard like some adult cartoons.

I think this is nice, shows that people recognize the quality put into the show by its hard working team.

 

Sure we hear lots about bronies, good and bad, and we hear trolls talk about the show.

 

But i don't think the show is always looked at for the truly amazing quality it is, honestly it really is quite good.

 

Idk how much this list will affect things, but its cool regardless.

This is quite an honor and along with MLP: FIM, I'm really glad to see the Simpsons are still recognized on thsi list as being a worthy show. Also Samurai Jack is one of the most underrated, if not overlooked series out there. For the most part I agree with a lot if not most of the shows on here nominated.

That is neat. MLP is getting credit that it totally deserves. Not just because of it's fanbase either, but because of the show's quality. This is a joyous day for MLP fans. Let us all rejoice!

Hey, that's great!  I couldn't wait to see the show get some professional recognition, and from TV guide too.  And they're got some of my other favorites like The Simpsons, Samurai Jack, South Park, and The Spectacular Spider-Man.  Phineas and Ferb is good too.  No Digimon sadly but I guess that's to be expected.  Shame there's no Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends either, but oh well.

I honestly would've chosen American Dad over Family Guy at this point, it's really started to go down hill a little bit from what I've seen of the newer seasons.

 

My only disagreements with this list are the Scooby Doo and South Park entries. I would've narrowed the Scooby Doo down to the slightly newer stuff like The Scooby Doo show and Scooby Doo and the 13 Ghosts. I think that's when it really hit it's peak.

 

As for South Park, as much as I dislike it I know it deserves some mention, but I wouldn've put it in the top ten just due to that. They should've shoved it down(especially considering some of the shows it beat out and shoved into the "other" list for it's place). It's ranked higher that Animanics for God's sake.

Call me crazy, but I think Futurama is the best cartoon ever.

 

I mean, I love My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, but this show doesn't have Zoidberg, Bender or Farnsworth.

I was glad to see the Simpsons at the top: it was a very iconic show, and it’s probably the animated show I watch the most after MLP FIM.

 

And of course it was nice to see MLP FIM get a mention at least
