How will Twilight Sparkle handle change?

With season 4 right around the corner I will ask how will twilight handle the new wings and new power. She is now a princess and may have a say in the law. Will she be helpless to the stress and give up. Will she try to hard like in lesson zero. Or will she not use her power. Will Rainbow teach her how to fly or will she learn on her own. Are there still going to be letters at the end of the episodes. No pony knows but we can always wonder.

That song is by him, in case you didn't know. He said he wrote the song based on Twilight's perspective on her new transformation as an Alicorn.

 

Description:

 

"I find it hard to imagine how Twilight must have felt after her transformation. Being a thoughtful and analytical pony, the range of emotions and internal conflict she would have faced must have been overwhelming... This song attempts to express some of the thoughts and emotions she may have wrestled during her first night as an Alicorn."

 

I think the song describes how Twilight feels pretty well, or how she will feel when Season 4 starts.

 

In the song, it mentions that Twilight, now an Alicorn, is now Immortal. I must have forgotten that being an Alicorn granted Immortality, makes me slightly sad though, acknowledging that Twilight will probably outlive her friends :/

 

Do you feel them feels yet? I sure did.

 

But, based on how determined Twilight is about studying (My little egghead <3) I'm sure she'll have things figured out soon enough. She didn't become an Alicorn by sitting around now, did she? The flying will be hard to get used to, made me laugh in Equestria Girls when the bed sheet kept getting messed up because her wing kept popping up, LOL!

Twilight might not get used to her change, but she will find a way to get used to the change and her flying will improve once she learns more about maintenance, and to control her wings. So, we will see on how she can handle her change.

Get used to it? She hasn't changed.... Yeah sure she became an alicorn and was made a princess and got wings, but has she really changed? She is still going be the same pony/person she was before she became an alicorn. It was even stated that she was able to stay in Ponyville with her friends so I do not see much happening on the princess side of thing.

Well from the way I see it, is that she won't really have anymore responsibilities considering she already has a huge one being the protector of Equestria. The wings I do not see taking that long, once she is able to fly that is.

I'd highly doubt that, she's a Princess now, and you get royal duties when you become one, from what I've seen.

Cadence got the Crystal Empire along with Shining Armor to rule over, now I'm not saying that Twilight will get her own empire to rule over, but it's a possibility. She's a natural born leader, I'm sure there's more responsibilities heading her way, but with time.

I am not going to get into a huge argument with you, but from what the devs are saying I doubt she will have much other than what she has now. It was stated that she will be staying in Ponyville so I guess we can rule out the option of ruling an Empire until the end of MLP when she is supposed to replace Celestia, or atleast that was Lauren Faust's original plan. She probably will get a few more responsibilities ontop of the major one she already has but it probably will not be much or else the show may get boring and tedious and as other have stated it would put a boundary between her and her friends with the princess duties and all. She is already the protector of Equestria and the Spirit of the Element of Magic and that is already a huge responsibility on her part. Only time will tell though I could be very much wrong, but current evidence points to the fact that she will stay the same as she was before. Edited October 3, 2013 by Xelphos

Personally, I think it will depend on what responsibilities she will take on. If she has to run an empire, which I doubt, then I think she'd do better than we think she would, but that would interfere with her friendships, so she might not handle that well. If she has to take on a responsibility that nopony has heard of before, she might do okay at first, but I think she'd need some books to read on the subject, though none would exist. 

 

Basically, I'm not sure we can know at this time, but I think she'll do just fine

This is actually a really good point. I don't think her friends would do that, but maybe some everyday people will, and that could actually be a really good conflict. Kind of like how Luna just want's people to call her Luna, rather than Princess Celestia.

Her friends wouldn't call her differently, in fact they'd probably keep forgetting to add her title  if they were in a situation where they had to use it, like some formal event like the gala.

 

Only in Ponyville can she expect to be addressed as Twilight.  Anywhere else however would be different as they do not know her as the town librarian, they only know her as Princess Twilight Sparkle.

The whole point of Twilight's transformation to an Alicorn princess is to symbolize she reached the apex of her learning. Being responsible, showing calmness in the face of adversity, relating to other people, those are all things she has done time and again throughout the series. The fact that she is an Alicorn already shows that she will be more than capable of handling the responsibilities of a princess. Sure, she'll be facing the unknown and she will be facing surprises in the future, but having been raised by Celestia to be a great unicorn, with another princess being her sister-in-law, and friends who will stick with her through thick and think, she will do very well. And as someone's already pointed out, Twilight isn't immortal. That's already been confirmed.

So then it's kind of immortality where you can't die of old age, but anything else still goes? The definition of immortal has many meanings depending on the story.
