The Ponyville school system. Is there no high school? Multiple schools?

I Would imagine it would work like any other school system however as a side note, has anyone else noticed you never hear of or see any schools until season 3, and even then you dont see another one, you just hear about how babs is getting bullied for being a blank flank... ;n; i know that feel. *looks at the user status*

Don't worry. Make a couple of topics and you'll get out of blank flank status in no time    But I assume you mean outside of elementary school, as there have been several classroom scenes with Cheerilee.

The Equestrian school system resembles that of 1900's America where rural areas have one-room school houses dotted here and there as necessary. At this time the rural students would all be taught the exact same things regardless of age, using a great deal of repetition. This education would last four to six years at the end of which most of the students would take apprenticeships, or become laborers.

 

There would be higher education for those who could afford it, such as Celestia's School for Advanced Unicorns, but those would only be in bigger cities like Canterlot. These secondary schools would last for another six to seven years. If they were accredited (which you can assume Celestia's School to be), then another couple of years for the First Degree (bachelor), another year to Master, and three more for a Doctorate. It was rare for a secondary school to go all the way through higher education, but it wasn't unheard of.
