Blast had had enough. He was tired of all of this shit from Crimson, Aphrodite, Pasiva, and everypony else. He then activated the Sonic Blast aura and lifted up Crimson by his neck, showing little mercy.

"You know how we almost fought to see if you were truly capable? Well, let's see just how capable you are!" Blast kicked Crimson to the ground and started wailing on his face with fast, hard blows.

Crimson gave Blast a deadpan look as he got up, "its fine kid...just don't do it again..." said Crimson quietly before turning to everyone else. well...that was fun...who's up for a drink? I know I sure am...after that, I think I'll go back to guard duty..." said Crimson calmly before taking out his flask of rum from under his hat and taking a swig, ignoring his bruises and scrapes

"Well, now that that's over, let's finish tending to our injuries and settle down for the night. I think it's safe to say we all need some rest." Midnight said, glad that had been resolved quickly. If the infighting had gone on much longer, he didn't know what he would've done, but his patience was certainly wearing thin. 'How do I always get myself involved with these sorts of things. At least that crystal pony has some common sense, and he doesn't look like a warrior, which is probably why. Maybe I should talk with him, better to know how the cooler heads in the group think. But I should wait until tomorrow, it has been a very long day.' Midnight thought as he watched Blast go back to his tent. Midnight then turned from the others and walked back to his shelter, leaving his armor on as he sat down to relax.

Blast sighed and packed everything he won't need for the night... except a bottle of cherry whiskey. He walked over to where Crimson was standing guard and stood next to him. He then raised his bottle of whiskey.

"Want a drink?" He asked him. "This is some real good stuff, man."

Willow Starsinger

 

Through the whole thing, Willow still said nothing. She barely recognized her brother with all the power and knowledge. She didn't want to admit it, but she was frightened of him. So frightened that she was almost afraid to follow him out of the forest.. maybe it was a mistake that her parents left her under his care. She's the one causing all this trouble, though. She's the one who wanted to go with this ridiculous friend making plan and practically stuck Orion on a wanted sign. Maybe.. maybe it would be better if she wasn't his sister.

Our mission is to find the Litany and destroy it." Aphrodite never really did care about ponies around her fighting, she just wanted to get the job done and have that fuzzy feeling where you did something good. "We should hit the hay, though, it's getting dark. "I assume that now I may have a moment to find some much needed rest?" Declared Redwave loudly from his position lounging at the base of the tree he had been trying to sleep against - he had been restless anyway - but the inane shouting hadn't helped.

 

Snatching the bottle and draining the remaining third of Brandy within, he sat back heavily against the tree and pulled the compass up from his side. Mumbling under his breath, he watched with a twisted, mixed expression as the needle spun to somewhere to the west. Watching it for a moment, he snorted to himself and thought to try something.

 

"Orion...?" He muttered the name that the mare in the woods had called the Alicorn.

 

The needle drifted without direction.

 

'A fake name perhaps? Or something else? Interference of some kind?'

 

Regardless: the Alicorn was doubtless going in the same direction they were: it wasn't going to be the last they saw of him.

 

"Willow...?" He murmured almost silently without even thinking - watching as the needle spun to point eastward, corner of his mouth twisting upwards slightly. Of course, she needed to be kept out of this...

Saronyx breathed a slight sigh of relief. Crisis averted, it seemed. Crimson's assailant was thankfully within his right mind enough not to continue his assault, and listen to reason. The mare that Redwave had dubbed as Kingfisher had stepped over before Saronyx spoke, and she added in her own dialogue. The hotheaded stallion backed off with an apology, and Crimson was quick to forgive.

 

That was good. The Crystal was glad to see that this group could at least maintain some semblance of harmony. That was all the better for his genetics. The Crystal Pony race were more vulnerable when surrounded by disharmony, their skin easier to be cut and their magical resistances were greatly weakened. It was one reasons that Saronyx made it a point to be polite, so as to maintain a steady level of harmonious interaction and relation.

 

Things went back to what he assumed was the normal order. Redwave, who he recalled had moved off to get rest earlier, called out from his position in a declarative question about actually being able to get some rest. It sounded like a viable plan to the Visionary, and he silently made his way to an unoccupied section of the ring of light provided by the fire, and lowered himself into a relaxed position, closing his eyes and waiting for sleep to overcome him.

Pavisa gave a sigh of relief as the fight erupted and was settled rapidly, before she barely had time to get up.  She scooped up her helmet and turned to Kingfisher.  "I'm going to try and get some rest too, while there's still some night left.  Wake me if anything important happens."  

 

Moving a short distance away from the fire, Pavisa lowers herself to the ground carefully while remaining in her armor.  May as well sleep in it, didn't work out very well last time I took it off.  She placed her helm down in the grass, resting her chin on it.  It wasn't a very comfortable pillow, but it was a little bit better than actually wearing it to sleep in.  One heck of a first day...  I sure hope tomorrow is better.

Crimson smiled and nodded politely to Steel, "Crimson, nice to meet you, nice whiskey by the way, but I'm more of a Rum and Sake kinda stallion...anyway, I'm afraid that I must talk later, bacuase I have to get back to my post and watch for that alicorn...oh, and Blast...try not to drink with a temper...it could pose as a problem for everyone else...got it?" Said Crimson lazily before troting back towards his guard post, swigging from his flask.

Rakon looked at Sand, "Want to come to see how some of the others are?  I see they are back and have had some time to rest." He said.  He started to walk to the pony at camp. 

 

"You doing ok?" He asked the pony.  He knew some had gone out and had come back.  He thought some may have gotten hurt.

"I'm fine." Sand said simply, following Rakon. She didn't think she was hurt in any way. Maybe a few scratches from running through the forest, but nothing serious yet. Thank Celestia... With what I can tell I should be lucky I'm not hurt yet... She reminded herself.

The headaches were getting worse.

 

It wasn't that they were any more painful - they were simply more constant. The pressure inside his head was becoming the norm instead if the exception. Thankfully, this at least made blocking it out a little easier: the spikes where it flared up were the hardest part to ignore and without them...

 

"W... Willow? Are you still here?" He asked through the blurred vision of one of the spikes of pain. "Stay close. I know you want to make friends but that group... They aren't safe to be around. We'll find someone else after this is all behind us."

Kingfisher. and Redwave.

 

Drawing her sword, Kingfisher went about cleaning the blade. She didn't own a great deal but was always sure to keep everything maintained to its very highest standard - faulty equipment was the fastest way to ruin an otherwise perfect situation.

 

Redwave simply say, back resting against the tree. One hoof grasping the compass as he murmured various things to it, the other playing idly with the black and green stained ruby that hung from the bindings near his neck.

Blast sighed and took a drink of his cherry whiskey. It calmed his nerves for the time. He had about enough of alicorns or anything magic for one night. He could still slightly feel the freezing chill of the alicorn's blizzard spell. He couldn't let that alicorn get to the Litany first. Redwave might use the Litany just to keep it for himself, but at least it won't be used improperly. Blast entered his tent and lied on his sleeping bag, just staring at the top.

Crimson still kept an ever watchful eye on the surrounding area, not bothered by the lack of sleep at all, although, he DID seem a bit miffed, as his Rum had run dry some time through the night, causing him to guard sober, putting him in a dull mood.  "when we start to move on to the next area, I think I'll get wasted for the next watch duty...that would at least make things more fun..." mumbled Crimson with a sigh.

Willow Starsinger

 

Willow wasn't by Orion's side, though-this morning, Willow wanted to take matters into her own hands and wanted to try to find breakfast herself. She eventually found a tall apple tree and began trying to climb it--well, it didn't exactly work out. She was hanging on a branch for dear life, and well, she learned her lesson. Don't get breakfast by yourself.

Blast woke up from his tent and shielded his eyes upon walking outside. He lit a little fire over the now-extinguished fire pit and prepared a custom-made batch of coffee. He sat outside and waited for Aphrodite. She was probably the pony out of this entire group that he liked the most, despite her need to always be a sad stick-in-the-mud.

Steel had stayed awake the entire night keeping watch henwas used to not sleeping for a day or two at a time so hebwould be fine, he took flight and flew down to blast "is that coffee I smell?" steel asked as he drank some water to rehydrate himself

Redwave and Kingfisher.

 

Redwave watched the light start to creep over the camp from his position sprawled against the base of the tree: he had managed a few hours before waking in the early hours - exhausted as he had been for the past few weeks. As the others began to stir, he stretched and nudged the sleeping body of Kingfisher beside him.

 

"Up you get 'Fisher." He said as the mare stirred. "T'is morning once again. Once our companions are all awake, prepare to break camp."

 

"Ye... Aye Cap'n!" responded the groggy mare. Since Redwave had started sleeping poorly, she had chosen to give up on it herself - much to her own detriment.

 

Apparently, she had hit her limit.

 

"I shall return shortly - we may be able to see the falls from just up ahead, if we are fortunate. I wish to find out." The captain explained to his companion in the early morning light as he trotted out of camp with a little more haste than usual.

Waking up groggily, Aphrodite sat up from a patch of grass she was sleeping on the night before. "G'morning. Where the hell did you get coffee?" Aphrodite asked, rubbing her eye sleepily. She was almost tempted to go back to sleep, but she didn't want to look bad now.

"If only Orion were here now.. I'm about to die here!" Willow thought to herself, looking down at the ground dizzily. "I should've thought this through.."

Blast looked up from the fire to see Aphrodite sitting across from him.
"Like I said, when you're adventuring, you need to pack everything, even if you don't think you'll need it." He said in a happy tone. "Nothing like a mix of coffee mix, cream, and milk to get you ready to continue ahead." He poured himself a cup and took a sip. He then poured a small cup of coffee for Aphrodite. "Want some?"

"Erm, no thanks. I honestly prefer tea." Aphrodite said, pushing away the coffee lightly. "Thanks, though. Seems nice that you're willing to give me some." Aphrodite said the whole thing as if she were uninterested. "I sure hope that we'll get going today.. did you see Orion last night?"

Pavisa groaned as the first rays of daylight hit her eyes, trying to stretch before waking up fully.  Sleeping in armor wasn't the most comfortable way to spend a night, and a helmet was in no way a good pillow.  "Well, first night down...  Wonder if we'll make it to the falls today..."  Stifling a yawn she rubbed a hoof over her eyes before picking her helmet up and putting it over her head where it belonged.  She took a quick glance around the camp, moving closer to the group by the fire.

"Mornin'" she directed tiredly at Blast, Aphrodite, and Kingfisher.  Choosing a spot that didn't look like it was too soaked in morning dew, Pavisa sat down to rub her hooves against her eyes again.  I'm so not a morning pony...

 

 

Tactic Wind

 

On down the road between Canterlot and Neighagra Falls, a rather unremarkable pegasus was walking slowly and patiently.  He was wearing a brown cloak with his hood pulled up, but he was walking right down the middle of the road.  He was keeping more of an eye on the sides of the road then on the road itself, walking towards Canterlot.  They have to come by this way if they want to reach the Falls in a timely fashion.  Surely I did not miss them.  No, that wouldn't be possible.  If they were to change course now, they would never make it in time.  Sitting down right in the middle of the road, Tactic was content to amuse himself with his own thoughts as he waited.

Blast nodded and poured the coffee back into the pot, taking a sip of his cup upon doing so.

"Yeah. The guy tried to freeze me and Chivalry last night. The idiot still sees us as the enemy. He's going to get to the Litany sooner or later if we don't get moving within a couple of hours." He shuddered at the thought. If the alicorn was incapable of controlling a blizzard that HE created, how can he hope to control a sand of them from destroying all of Equestria?

He then dropped the thought upon Pasiva walking outside. "Morning, Pasiva. Want a cup of coffee? You look... not all there." He said, pouring a cup.
