If it was in a dimly lit room, I'd try to make out what I'm seeing, then vomit from the smell. Then I'd check the pockets for an ID card or, barring that, talk to an investigator, because it might turn out this person was missing.

I don' tknow how I'd react if the person was unfamiliar to me. Probably disturbed. Context is also important. Are the police there? Is the killer still at large or nearby? Was this a murder or does it appear that they killed themselves? A dismembered body is one thing, but it's the level of humanity that brought it there (or nature) that's what makes it impactful or not.
