gaming If Nintendo built an actual Nintendo-themed theme park, you would like to see..?

Okay, I kept hearing only good things about one of the Wii U's first games, Nintendo Land, which was a game set in a Nintendo-themed amusement park where you played the mini-games based on Nintendo's various game franchises.

 

And whether you consider the game good or not, I think this does obviously raise an interesting idea; what if Nintendo decided to build a real life theme park based on the games and characters they created?

 

What kind of rides or attractions do you think you'd like to see?

 

Here are afew things I have in mind;

 

1) F-Zero G-Force

 

One thing I have in mind is placed an F-Zero themed motion simulator, which, if done correctly, could give out a very close simulation on what it would be like to ride in an F-Zero racer, from the super-high speed to the intense turns and maneuvers, making such a ride I think might be difficult, but not impossible.

 

2) Metroid: Wrath of Ridley

 

The ride will consist of 4 different colored 1-seated pod, And each pod will have one mounted light cannon of the same color as the pod that the rider will be manning

 

These pods would ride sideways in a circular track, constantly facing a huge animatronic Ridley, who throughout the ride would be seen constantly either turning, moving his arms, flapping his wings, and opening his mouth and projecting an orange light to pretend he's shooting fire blasts.

 

The objective involved in the ride is to aim your light cannon and fire at Ridley as many times as you can until the ride is over.

 

The ride could go on for around 3 minutes until the Ridley animatronic gives a dying shriek to declare he has been defeated.

 

When the ride ends, Samus Aran will be heard from a pre-recording on a loudspeaker, she will congratulate the riders for defeating Ridley, declaring them honorary bounty hunters and that she will 'See you next mission'.

I would want to see a ride that takes you through the world of Zelda, since I love the Zelda games. That could be something extraordinary.

I've payed Nintendo Land before it's pretty much a tutorial for the wii u. As for the theme park idea, I would want to see that. There should be a ride based off the mini game Handcar Havoc from Mario Party. Or a king of red lions boat ride would be interesting.

Also what if the zelda ride was one of those it's a small world like rides (if you've been to dinseyland before, you know what i'm talking about). And the music was replaced with "Hey" "Look" "Listen"

I'm not much one for amusement parks but a horror ride consisting of Eternal Darkness and/or Geist material would be bad to the ass on several levels of awesome. Imagine: Sanity effects or the car being "possessed" by a ghost or something... <3

 

Yes, I'm aware they are only Nintendo published IPs and not directly made by Nintendo but screw that they are among my favorite games of all time from Nintendo.

 

But if we're talking any game on a Nintendo system then a Mischief Makers one would be fun if they could somehow simulate being thrown by Marina or riding the robot guy.

And as a bonus they should add the use of all the weapons from the game. That's right you get to take your rage out on a friend by blowing them with a blue shell.

It is funny that I see this topic, me and my brother used to think this all the time years ago.One of the main things I would want to see is a Pokemon roller coaster with Rayquaza, as for other things, a Metroid based lazer tag with the bounty hunters and space pirates, a Kid Icarus power of Flight thing (sorta like Soarin from Disney World) and virtual Pokemon battling. And just a random thought, some Mario type parkour would be awesome (of course with some sort of harness).

Mario Kart go-carts, or something like that would be epic. 
All kinds of Pokemon stuff, rides, stores, ect. I would totally nerd out over the Pokemon stuff!

Zelda, Metroid, ect. A Nintendo theme park could have SO much potential!

As huge as Nintendo is, I'm surprised they never put funding into building a theme park chain. I'm sure they considered it at one point, but it must not have struck them as a lucrative endeavor, which is a shame. Still, I'd definitely like to see a go-cart course with Mario Kart / F-Zero themes, maybe a Metroid-themed EMV ride like the Indiana Jones one. And definitely something Zelda related...I think it'd actually be pretty cool to make a real-life version of the archery range in Majora's Mask where you shoot octorocks in a pool.

Frankly I am not one for rollarcoasters and stuff, so that really wouldn't appeal to me(yeah i know i'm a scardy cat ;p.)

 

But it would be pretty cool, i don't really have any creative ideas though, not my thing.

That would be awesome to have a Starfox attraction where you can assemble a group of people to be in your 6 man squad. It would sort of be like Starfox Assault's Multiplayer mode where everyone starts off on foot but then can acquire arwings/wolfens, land masters and additional more powerful weapons like the sniper rifle and missile launcher by finding them scattered around the world. Being able to take off in flight and shoot down your foes would be awesome.

Some kind of Donkey Kong themed roller-coaster. I mean come on, you have a game that features an ape getting launched from floating barrel to floating barrel in the rapid succession; it's a perfect fit.  

 

Ooh, ooh or maybe a roller-coaster for rainbow road. It's spacey, and cool and a total classic in Mario Kart.

I am so surprised none of you mentioned this. A complete Mario Party board. With all the space types. It doesn't have to be an actual party game per se, but it could just be a boardwalk with added random events if you stepped on the happening spaces!

A Nintendo theme park is something I can definitely see happening and something that can become popular. There are so many ideas for attractions to use that I daresay the possibilities are endless. Utilizing their franchises like that would be awesome. I can see it now. You could have a Metroid railshooter where you blast at every enemy you see. The competition would be for a high score. There are other ideas, such as an F-Zero roller coaster. That would kick butt on astronomical levels. Then, there could be Mario Kart bumper cars. So many ideas.

I would totally ride all of the Pokemon, Kirby, and Mario rides. Unless they're totally scary or only for little kids.. but yeah, that'd be amazing.
