Midnight Gaze 131 October 18, 2013 Share October 18, 2013 (edited) So, I had one OC until about a month ago when I was on the pony creator and made another one. I realized I wanted to keep it, and I made it my second OC as sort of an alter ego. What I don't understand is how people can have/keep track of more than two. Maybe my opinion is a bit biased because I have two OCs. So the question is: Do you multiple ocs and if you do, why? Emperor Posh 360 October 18, 2013 Share October 18, 2013 (edited) @@Midnight Gaze, When you create a new post you are given an option to start a poll, the option is to the left of the title, you are also able to add one to your current thread. I haven't really started with OC's yet. I have no idea how or where to start . I do know I can make the design for one, but I am more interested in the story behind creating an OC over creating the design, so that is where I am lost at. Midnight Seeker 302 October 18, 2013 Share October 18, 2013 I have a whole bunch. Seeker is my stand in, but the character has others in his story and they have their own stories. People are more than capable of creating and keeping track of multiple characters, because they are just as real to us, perhaps more so as they come from our own minds. MLPForums Phanact 1,374 October 18, 2013 Share October 18, 2013 I have multiple OC's and basically you use the character you feel would best suit the other characters or the setting of the Roleplay. I have three OC's: Ellie Goulding based character (Because she's my idol) Cashmere Chord (My male persona) Aura Arpeggia (My female persona) This way I can use my different gendered OC's to fit a story better, rather than having all the same gendered OC's, and I can use my Neghlie Goulding one for fun roleplays or roleplays that require a character with a bit of limelight. let's love for me and lets love loud and let's love now cause soon enough we'll die
LittleRawr 679 October 18, 2013 Share October 18, 2013 I have two OCs currently, but I'm developing another right now. (I have three half-developed ones, I made their character profiles but I've never actually RPed with them.) Different characters suit different roleplays. I have an OC who's talent is felines would not go all that well in a music RP, for example. I also try to make my OCs as different from each other as possible, as to not mix them up. A common problem among beginner roleplayers that they use practically the same traits for all of their characters, so they all seem the same. Umbreon 569 October 18, 2013 Share October 18, 2013 I have multiple OC's, mostly because I enjoy creating characters. I have fun designing them, creating back stories and personalities for them, getting into their heads... I -almost- have as much fun creating them as I do role playing with them. I suppose I'm like this with more than just OC's though, anytime I play something like a roleplaying game I end up with multiple characters because I love playing with character creating systems. Probably why I have so many save files on Skyrim... Scootalove 10,689 October 18, 2013 Share October 18, 2013 I have multiple OC's because, I enjoy creating a lot of characters to my liking. I try to create some backstories that are good for each of them. Credit: Moony © Forum FAQ Forum Rules
That One Techpriest You Used To Know 2,286 October 18, 2013 Share October 18, 2013 I have about fifteen OCs, and I've RPed with all of them. I also have about ten OCs that I have played with in other RPs, and about thirty that don't even have a character sheet. Looking at the numbers... I could populate a small village with my OCs. aoEAF2FBvC0MIo2Q 3,673 October 18, 2013 Share October 18, 2013 Only two though they're more or less the same character. One would be the one I normally go by as with the other being a genderbent version of the same character but with a different name. It's just a little peculiar that I tend to RP each of them differently. SunBurn--the male--tends to be more gentle in his interactions (just not as extreme as Fluttershy) while Erythema--the female--tends to come off as a bit of a brute. repsol rave 2,963 October 18, 2013 Share October 18, 2013 i have two OC's at this moment. Repsol Rave (who is more like my ponysona) and James Roarke (who is kinda based of how i would like to become in the future) so yeah, i got two because i started writing a fanfic wich needed a new OC, and well, i just made one. that's kinda how i got James Roarke. My OC's: Roarke, Repsol and Crystal
Midnight Gaze 131 October 18, 2013 Author Share October 18, 2013 @repsol rave- I love your profile animation. It's from PFUDOR, right? I have two OCs, but it makes sense to use different ones for different roleplays. I guess I just wouldn't get/be as attached to my fifth OC as opposed to my first one. Midnight Gaze will always be my ponysona, but Periwinkle Skies is pretty close too.
FNGRpony 658 October 18, 2013 Share October 18, 2013 It's quite simple. did you have multiple character ideas that you floated in pre existing fan fiction that you created for something else?Did you as a person want to put a pony spin on any of those?well there you go LOL. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvTYhrZUgYY flight to the finish. i continue to improve,

Lacey Shadows 164 October 29, 2013 Share October 29, 2013 If were talking non pony OC's then I have...alot. If were talking pone OC's then sad to say, I've only had one true OC, the rest are little ponifications of other characters, or OC art requests. The Baron Vain's only favorite~
