The Phoenix

Life is a collage of tribulations,

As funny as it may be;

The fire inside of you dies out,

As you hold the broken shards of your own dreams.

 

You will let it get you down;

And although the world keeps turning, and the sands keep falling,

You can't help but feel as if you're lost, unable to be found.

 

That's how life has to be,

As strange as it may seem;

It's the trials of life that make us who we are;

It's the pain we all feel that shapes us into human beings.

 

I sometimes feel as if I want to remain as ashes, until the day I die;

Yet, I still keep searching for the Phoenix inside of me;

For I know, one day from the ashes, I will rise.

 

Just a poem I wrote at school today

I read that poem to a strange mixed beat reminiscent of Linkin Park and Eminem. (Don't take that as an insult)

It actually has a nice flow with their usual rhythm, I think it'd make a good song.
