request Calling an extremely tech oriented OC

Hello!

 

First of all I am sorry, but I have no idea where, on the forums, to put this request. I will try to rectify this.

 

Secondly, I am creating my OC's backstory, and I would like to have some extremely tech oriented(like Tony Stark) pony to create my OC's tech suit in the backstory.

 

So if you would be interested in your OC appearing in my OC's backstory, I would need info on them, maybe a pic, and your permission to use them in my OC's backstory. You could also make requests as to how you want them portrayed in the story.

I'm afraid that he is not what I am looking for. He seems like an expert computer programmer and hacker, basically knows everything about computing, programs, and operating systems.

 

But there is a difference between knowing everything about how to use something, and knowing how to build it and how it works.

I need some one who knows all about tech and how to build almost anything, provided the resources.(as I said, like Tony Stark)

Perhaps my OC Galatea might fit the bill?

 

She's certainly tech-oriented, being an engineer and all. And, well, she built an entire robot pony with an extremely advanced AI, so I would say she has the know-how. You can check my signature for the link to her profile.

 

Oh, but you should keep in mind that she is from the future, and came to the present. I'm certain she could work with your character's backstory, as long as it's after Galatea has arrived in Ponyville, preferably after she's found a lab to work in.

So far she looks like she might work, however it would be nice to maybe provide a little information about her current state. Like, Is she a hermit? Whereabouts does she live? What is she like now? and so on.

 

You could also read about my OC, SSMan, and see where you could try to fit her in.

 

SSMan's backstory though, could probably use a little work. I don't know what anyone else thinks yet, but to me, it seems a little like a..."Meh, Yeah right!"...sort of story.

 

She has such a sad backstory.

For Galatea's current condition... Well, I can say that she's certainly not a hermit. While she may want to coop herself up in the lab sometimes, especially if there is a project of interest (here, assuming that she has established/is working in a lab somewhere in Equestria), she does go out from time to time... especially when her creation, Nano (the robot pony I mentioned earlier) urges her to get out of the lab out of concern for her. (He thinks she works too much.) xD

 

I think the backstory is decent, though there is always room for improvement. Believe me when I say that I've seen worse... much worse. 

I'll have to give a bit more thought as to where she could fit into his backstory, though.

Ugh, sorry for not getting back to you in so long! My mind's been all over the place lately.

 

Anyway, this is what I've got so far.

 

Let's say that Pat's home town is Ponyville. (This can be changed if you like; the lab in which Galatea does her work could be just about anywhere in Equestria, since I hadn't really established where it is.) And, between these missions that he's started to take on, he decides to return to his home town. There, he encounters Galatea and Nano, both of them having arrived while he was away for so long. The sight of the robot pony alone piqued his interest, and when he went to speak to the two, he soon found out, of course, that Galatea had built Nano herself and that she was incredibly knowledgeable about technology. When she hears about his heroic deeds and ambitions, Galatea agrees to do what she can to help out. As a result, she builds (or helps him build) a super-suit.

 

As for how their relations would be. Galatea would at first be reluctant to help in the technology field, because it was the advancement of technology that had helped spark the civil war that had been taking place in the future that she once lived in. But she reasons with herself, saying that nothing bad could come about from helping a pony with such noble goals. After deciding that for herself, she would be happy to help him when she can; an ally of his.

 

Also, instead of Star Spangled Man... Star Spangled Stallion has a nice ring to it, don't you think?

As for that:

1. If you read the entire profile, I mentioned that SSMan was based off of his original human counterpart, and he still has a human counterpart, which I use in other places.

2. Also mentioned in the profile, he is based after my favorite superhero character of all time, Captain America, sometimes known as "The Star Spangled Man with a Plan"

3. Even though "Star Spangled Stallion" may sound better than "Star Spangled Man", when you shorten it to his popular name "SSMan" it's short and simple to say, and it looks and sounds cooler than "SSStallion"(to me it does at any rate). Also I like the contrast of the letters, and have you seen his insignia? I just don't know how well it would work with three "S"s.

Aha~ I can certainly see where parallels could be drawn between backstories now, with River in the picture. That's cool, though! I like the idea.
