Random cursing

There's a really annoying girl at school who curses constantly and has a tiny temper. She was pissing and moaning over how some other kid had gotten short with her, causing her to cluster f bomb 15 times and call him a fag while screaming like a raving child. Has anyone else ran into her type, ranting psychos with an ego that's over the Moon?

It drives me nuts. I'm by no means a prude and even curse myself, but I think you need to be selective about it or the words start to lose their weight and become pointless adjectives that have none of the desired impact.

 

Also, calling someone a "fag" is up there with the most immature name calling on the planet.

I don't have a problem with most of what is considered "bad language". They're just words. We give "bad" words their power by considering them taboo. That being said, I don't think anyone should use "fag" as an insult because doing so implies that there is something inherently wrong with being gay. Screaming is a bad way to communicate no matter what words you use.

Well to be honest I curse a lot too. It just comes naturally sometimes even if I try to avoid it. Still, I nothing as bad as the girl mentioned. I can see why that could be annoying. Especially since there is a girl kinda like that in my class. She doesn't curse that much but she starts shouting for the smallest of things sometimes and (not to be impolite but) she can get on my nerves.

Sort of ran into a simular situation?  But its with my younger sister, apparently its 'normal' in her generation, (16yrs old) to cuss in every sentence she speaks. Whether that be the F bomb or a serious of feminine cusses, she says everything under the sun. Call me old fashion but since when does the American english here need to be colorized with cussing? Its colorful without it... Its just rude and annoying, and I feel, lazy at times? Its not needed and not everyone likes to hear it, I just call it inconsiderate at times. Its ok to do it around your friends or family if they are comfortable, but not in the public eye...some people would take offense or have children near by i dunno.

I curse, but not to the point when it's as common as "f**k" every 2-3 sentences like it's nothing or of equivalent nature, that's when you gotta shut up and learn some manners.

 

Now that I think about, I knew this girl in high school who said "f**k" every sentence. It was very obnoxious.

Maybe he got short with her because she acts like that!

I'm know people like this, who curse way too much. I'll admit I swear a little more than I should, but I don't drop an f bomb every other word...people who swear too much are kind of annoying in my eyes. It just seems immature, ya know? The English language has a vast amount of words to pick from, and all you can say is fag, or the f bomb...really?

It's not the cursing that ticks me off(though the amount of it is staggering) but the fact that she was acting like a toddler throwing a tantrum over a pathetic reason. I questioned the guy who got short with her, turns out he said that she was overreacting to a spider and that got her mad. Her favorite words in the next 5 minutes were "fag", "fuck(one million variations)", "retard", "ass-muncher", and some babbling that I'm not sure is English. It doesn't help that she has a huge ego either. I tell her she's distrupting the class, she says "I can say what I want because I'm older than you, brat". Keep in mind she's at most 3 years older than me, maybe less

I do have censorship, though. For instance, even though I'm 21 and I can do it all I want, I never swear around my parents out of sheer respect, even though they wouldn't care. 

But losing at games, making little errors, or stubbing my toe, I'm bound to drop an F-bomb at least once.

She was just a...bad person. Like, self-entitled and just overall mean.

Some people who I'm around curse a fair amount, and it's rubbed off on me. Cursing has't been something I wanted to turn into a habit, but it already has. Sometimes it just slips out, other times I curse when I'm in a bad mood to release anger. I'm trying to stop though....

I've been around mechanics for a long time, so yes, I've know plenty of people that curse every other sentence. (No offense to any mechanics, by the way)

 

 

I find it unnecessary, as you can get your point across without using that, especially since you can really never really be sure who's around.

Yes, there's this one girl at my school that always screams EVERYTHING she says.  Even when everyone's quiet she screams.  She uses the F word every other word.  It is really annoying.  I'll admit I do swear sometimes, but I only do it when no one else can hear me.
