I don't want to see anymore poorly introduced plot twists arbitrarily shoe horned in at the last second to sell more toys *cough cough* twilicorn *cough cough*, that particular plot twist may still work out but if anything will kill this show it will probably be that sort of precedent. I also don't want to see episodes where the morals make no sense or don't apply, Griffon the Brush's off's lesson about false friends is a good one for example but was poorly applied because Gilda was demonized while everyone else including Pinkie Pie got off scott free

 

first off twilicorn is just a tweak to an ending that everyone should have seen coming. she was being trained to be a princess from day one. making her an alacorn might not have been strictly nesasary but id did make sence.

 

gilda pretty much demonized herself. what exactly did the rest of them do so bad? pinkie pie after being treated poorly and finding out that yes she is as bad as she thought threw here a party,

the pranks were rainbows doing not pinkie. so yes it was done ok. the problem is that gilda was a bit over the top duchbag!

The fact that it would happen eventually does make sense, but the way it was introduced with a rushed finale in a season that had little else to do with twilicorn made the change feel forced instead of a natural progression of the plot.

Yes she was, but so was Pinkie Pie for acting like a crazy stalker by continuing to follow her and Rainbow Dash no matter how many times she said no. Don't get me wrong, I like Pinkie Pie but she has some serious issues with personal space and Griffon The Brush Off isn't the only example of this she clearly has these same problems in A Friend In Deed. In that episode I can at least forgive her because her intentions were good, but in Griffon The Brush Off her motives were insecurity and jealousy. Twilight made a very good voice of reason in Griffon The Brush off until she made that remark about Gilda being a "false friend" when she dosen't even know her. Yes Gilda could have handled things way better, but I think she had every right to be angry with Pinkie Pie even if she went a bit too far, the implicit lesson in that episode seems to be that if one side is being a jerk that other side is completely blameless which isn't always the case.

Casting blame on the wrong characters and then giving them undeserved comeuppance that is way way worse than their supposed crime.

 

Trixie is the worst case.

 

Oh no, she's boasting. That means she deserves to lose her reputation, the job that is literally her special talent, and her home.

 

Wait, she's in a profession where boasting is commonplace and actually a part of her line of work... uh. I dunno.

 

 

Never mind the fact that our main characters decide to heckle a traveling entertainer that as far as we know put on a free show, that essentially everyone but them was shown to like.

 

Never mind that two out of the three biggest complainers about her boasting are just as cocky as she is(and only RD is selfconscious to realize that, not AJ) and repeatedly boast during the series.

 

Too Many Pinkie Pies had more of her character than any season 2 episode.

 

Yea, that's kinda why I wasn't that big of a fan of "Boast Busters", I didn't get it..except I guess it was supposed to show that Twilight is really good at magic. Regardless, Trixie is a good foil for Twilight... which I think is her primary role, especially in "Magic Duel".

ok so being way to in your face is a reason to be mad at pinkie pie. how about stealing and way overreacting to fluttershy?

twilight was the one to say the moral because she was the one righting the letter, presumably she was told about the events plus she was at the party.

however I am not convinced that gilda was a false friend she was a total jerk but not a false friend.

the moral should have been sometimes you need to open your eyes and see what jerks some of your friends are but that's not kid friendly

 

twilight sparkle a princess to early, I can buy that now lets hope season 4 runs with it. not changing her back but her dealing with a hole new set of problems that she will have to deal with. three seasons isn't long enugh?

Im adding this to the list: Playing tge "I just wanted friends" card on some really potential villians or antagonists. Look at discord,He was a somewhat good villian and they play the card when he gets redeemed about him just wanting friends.I want characters to get more in depth before they play the card.Trixie and Sunset Shimmer were a waste of potential because they didn't get in depth with the characters.I believe Sunset Shimmer could've been a great canon villian.They don't need to go SUPER DUPER UBER GINORMUSLY in depth.Just enough so we can get to know the characters even better.I remember a writer say Trixie went to school with Twilght. What went down? Same goes with Sunset Shimmer.Overall,they just could use better redemptions.

Well, so far the episodes were good, with a few exceptions ofc.

 

What I really don't want is this feel when you finish an episode of the new spongebob. It feels SO empty it's incredible.

MLP had things rushed on certain episodes, but it still don't have this emtpy feel, which is good.
